I assure you this is NOT AZERI dance. It's pure PERSIAN dance, not even a fusion. Please, watch more azeri videos to learn the differences.
Persian Classical Dance , Qajar dynasty style. It's a dance from Persian court of XVIII-XX century. It was performed by professional dancers-entertainters. It's way more rhythmic than the Miniature style. The dance performance usually contains a pantomimic acting , like applying make up.

Persian got influenced by indian dances. Indians have these hastas and mudras written in Natya Shashtra(drama/dances scriptures) which are ancient. Also the old Persian language is derived from sanskrit language. Hormuzgani still sounds like sanskrit even if iranian little bit changed.

The only thing the two languages have in common is that they are both Indo-European, just like English in this branch. Iranian dance is also different I think the woman who left this comment is Pan-Turk Because it is very spiteful These people are always trying to connect us to India While we are counted separately They are anti-Persian. I have a background in Kathak dance, Arabic dance and most recently Persian classical dance.The Mughals took the indigenous Indian devotional classical dance which already existed at the time they were ruling India, and added their own flavours to it, and the same thing with the costumes. Kathak is influenced by Persian dance. If you check the movement names, good many of them are Persian. Like "parvaneh" butterfly, etc,.
@grillyvilly8139
@grillyvilly8139 Жыл бұрын
@@User90178 Kathak is not influenced by Persian dance but by the aesthetics that Persianate rulers of India wanted. India has never seen real Persian dance on its land except in small dance festivals. Kathak's 'Persian influence' isn't actual Persian influence, it was just a change of its motivation from a 'dance for Hindu Gods' to a 'dance for Muslim rulers', so its movements became more feminine and 'sensual', that's it.
@grillyvilly8139
@grillyvilly8139 Жыл бұрын
@@User90178 This is Qajar dance, which was developed in Qajar dynasty between 1795 to 1925. Its not 100% authentic Persian Classical Dance because it has developed only recently. So it's not that wild to have Indian kathak influence in it because if Persianate rulers ruled India for so long, they didn't just give us their influence, they took back some of our influence also, nothing wrong in it.

It is similar to Azerbaijani dance and dress because Azerbaijani Qajars copied their dances and dresses from Iranians. This dance is pure Persian and dress is also Iranian. If you have doubt check Iranian old miniature paintings. You can search it online and see Iranians dressed like this for hundreds of years. The only thing different in Azerbaijani dance is Lezgin dance which is purely from Caucasus and not Iranian.

The race if all Azari people are just like the rest of Iranians and very far far from tork people. There are some scientific articles from different universities all around the world about the genetics of Azari people available on internet you can read them to know how genetics proved Azari people are not tork. But they think k they tork because they speak Turkish. And this type of dance belonged to the whole Iranians all around Iran because it was common in Qajar time. That's why the name of it is Qajar because it was common in qahar era and the information is limited if it was common before Qajar time or not. Otherwise this dance or music is very different from Azari and Turkish music and dance.

@@googleuser2736 what do you mean I am Arab? No I am Iranian and Arabs genes in Iran are not that considerable to change their race. Are you upset by what I said about Azari people race? It's understandable if you don't believe that because your mind is made up with this attitude and you how up with that so it's hard to know what you have thought for your whole life was wrong. If you want to thi k you are Turk it's up to you but it doesn't change the reality. My field of study is Genetics and just let you know that genetics absolutely determine race of people. The genes of Turkish spoken people in Iran are so far from Turkish race. And also genetic studies have shown that Arab genes among Iranians are so little that are negligible. Do some scientific reading to know what exactly determine race and there are so many scientific paper about race of Azari people in Iran better to read them and educate yourself then you're welcome to give your opinion. I don't know if you believe in science or not, but realizing the truth and still not accepting it because its against your opinion is called DOGMA!

Qajars are Iranians, speak Persian and their entire court culture is Persian. Azerbaijan is a fake country founded on stolen Persian lands that the Qajars lost to the Russians.

Very well performed, indeed. Love the smiling, expressive face and the fluid movements! Isn't this Helene Erikson's choreography?
