The reason the English language is so hard is all the homophones and Heteronyms. Words that sound the same but spelled different and vice versa. If proper Vowel symbols were taught with English, the pronouncing city names like "Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateapokaiwhenuakitanatahu"would be WAY easier.
