I’m definitely not ready for this level of complexity but this technique is super interesting! Once I learn segment knotting and get more comfortable with normal alpha’s etc I’ll try this technique some day

So true! I can watch ten other videos with no idea what’s going on, and then on one of Masha Knots’ videos I get it instantly!

Before I saw this I thought you had to hide the string through every single knot. I always thought it was such a waste of thread. Glad I understand now 😅

WOW, this is such a cool technique!!!! I am soooo glad this tutorial came while I was already in the middle of making an alpha and I just tried it out and looks awesome. Thank you so much Marsha!!! 😍😎😎😎

Nice ! I'd integrated your straight alpha technique for non-background strings, but I didn't handle vertical switches that well, thank you for the precision. I find it funny that you emphasise the esthetics of a clean back when I've always thought it was a must for something that's rubbing on your skin for so long... but maybe I'm a bit extra about not taking off friendship bracelets until they fall off ^^'

The idea of threading inside the knot is really interesting, I wonder if you could use this to thread something else into the knot, like a physical object like a needle, or maybe even making a 3d bracelet that threads into the knots and goes perpendicular to the actual bracelet

This tutorial is great and I was gonna try it on my newest project but it eventually has 6 switches in one row 😅. I don’t mind the complexity, I’m more concerned about the size of the knots with that many colors XD
@thisjoman Жыл бұрын
I reinvented this technique because I wanted a good looking back alpha pattern. Instead of inserting from the middle and cutting the thread that still in the middle, I just run the thread from start to end and it looks cleaner.

How do you know which direction is which? I tried with a different pattern and the knots would get weird as if I went in the wrong direction. Do you care to make another video more detailed and longer to explain more about the "clean back alpha" ? Please and thank you it would be REALLY helpful!
@mariak_72722 жыл бұрын
But where I can find similar patterns with different designs?
@mariposa.250710 ай бұрын
great tutorial, thank you! but i guess it can be really really tricky if you often have to chance colors... where can I find the pattern with the lines for the clear back?
@Mellow_Music1111 ай бұрын
How would you figure this out for your pattern of choice? How do I figure this out on all other patterns? Can you make a video on: How to do clean Alpha back on any pattern? Or something a long the lines of that? @MashaKnots

I love how clean the back is with this technique but cutting off the strings later won't affect the bracelet? I'm wondering 12:42

if it's a bracelet for wearing, would you suggest not cutting them so close to the bracelet? or are you 100% confident it won't come undone?

I have a question what if I ran out of yarn and I’m in the middle of the row ? How do I add the same color yarn?
@Cindy-dw2fi Жыл бұрын
If you have an alpha pattern with just two colors would you hide each color your not using within every knot in the pattern? That way all the knots in the entire bracelet would be the same size. I’m trying to figure out how to do a checkerboard alpha. Like the Vans brand checkerboard…
