Thats the thing sonic loves the dogs so much he can't be stopped. Even after having what amounts to a 30 sec head start sonic still caught up. So either shadows stand effect weakens with every use or sonic and his ravenous love of chili dogs broke though shadows abilities

@Nigel Stoney you seem to have understood only part of the whole argument. Another comment said it before me, Sonic is a lighthearted type of edgy. He's not a pure good-natured hero, Sonic likes to toy with his opponents or taunt them. Then in the Adventure/2000's era Sonic was able to have a serious attitude in difficult situations. After that, Sonic was turned into a clown and lost seriousness. But even as someone less serious, his attitude still doesn't fit that of a prudish hero. And above all, Sonic loves his freedom and getting his own way

Part 2 Sometimes but in Never does that in the rest of the parts.Part 4 Slows down a bit on some bits. Part 5 is like a constant Aderine rush of stuff happening even when it takes Small breaks,they go to fast. Not sure about Part 6-8 since I have not read all of the manga.

I love how the stand powers perfectly match their characters: Shadow’s the Ultimate Lifeform, so he wants the Ultimate Power. Stopping time is pretty much that Sonic’s full of himself, too, but in the other direction. He honestly doesn’t care, and would rather do things his own way, and let others do it their way. His stand has almost no Combat potential, but it doesn’t need to have any, because he’s so sure of his abilities that he’s fine regardless

I've noticed a trend in Jojo that the hero's stand is some generic punchy boi (or time stip power in Jotaro's case) and the villains often have some gimmicky stand. Shadow's stand can stop time and Sonic's forces you to a chilie dog eat off. Does this confirm that Sonic is the true villain?
