Hi. Great to see you back on a Courtney reaction. Cool reaction as always. I don't know what more there is to say about Courtney. IMO, she is the greatest artist I've had the privilege of hearing in my lifetime, and there isn't even a close second. If she just focused on a single genre, she would be spectacular but, as you know, she can sing just about anything, and be absolutely magnificent with it. That ability will one day put her in the 'legend' category. A true voice of a lifetime. So this was April 29th. The New York Pops honored Clive Davis with a huge concert at Carnegie Hall. Everyone who is anyone in music was there. Courtney was invited personally by Clive to open the show. She blew off the roof and the doors and brought the entire audience to their feet at Carnegie in a standing ovation with this rip roaring, stage dominating rendition of Janis Joplin's 'Piece of my Heart'. Janis was Clive's first signee. It was unbelievable. Courtney shared the stage with many all time greats tied to Clive like Barry Manilow, Dionne Warwick, John Mellencamp, Busta Rhymes, Art Garfunkel, Melissa Manchester and many more. As you noticed, the conductor sneaks several long peaks at Courtney's performance instead of remaining focused on his musicians. The look on his face says it all. The same can be said for the guitarist. Let's be real. If you were on stage, 15 feet away from that magnificent performance, how could you not help but sneak a peak. It's not very often that you get to hear the voice of a lifetime. I had the privilege of hearing that performance live and it was mind boggling. Take how great Courtney sounds digitally, multiply it by ten, and that gives some sense of how sensational she sounds live. She truly is a phenomenal artist, and that may be an understatement. Courtney went independent at the start of 2023, and after many delays due to Covid, label issues and more, Courtney was able to release her own spectacular music. She’s released five sensational originals so far ( all available on her YT channel) and has announced that recording is complete on her debut album of original music. All she has shared has been mind blowing. Expect a drop sometime around the beginning of the year, with singles earlier. It will be epic. The most anticipated release in forever.

I want to thank you for this reaction of Courtney‘s experience/performance at Carnegie Hall. This was a pivotal event for her, I believe. It is incredibly exciting for her fans that she received the exposure in an honorable way with the invitation, and that her response was to produce the performance she did.❤ Thank you, again for your which is genuine and enjoyable.

That conductor had to turn around so many times to watch the show. 😅 I don't blame him Courtney reminds me of Elvis when she is on a stage. She owns it.

Great reaction! This is the latest and best incarnation of this performance on KZbin. The first was the recording from the balcony with a phone. Another was the only official release which is from the New York Pops who own the rights. It's the stage level shot, which doesn't start until after the guitar intro and ends before the guitar solo, about 2¼ minutes long and is now on Courtney's KZbin channel. In the leadup to the concert, several fans who knew about it were told that none of the concert would be released to the public, so they got seats in the balcony and took matters into their own hands😃 That recording itself was on KZbin for about a day before it was removed. However I'm not aware of any of the 3 mashups being interfered with.

Love this performance! Hopefully, in near future, we won't have to resort to mashups to get the whole story. In meantime, I am VERY glad we've got all these pieces and perspectives. Imagine if the 2019 'Woodstock 50' anniversary festival had NOT been canceled, and we got to see 15yo Ms. Courtney giving similar performance, but of a full SET of songs, including great covers like this of old classic rock songs and her own ORIGINALS! That Saturday would have been AWESOME! And maybe she could have met more of her idols from the 1960's, 70's, and 80's. But they did cancel the whole anniversary music festival, so we all missed out as pandemic rolled in months later. I'd recommend listening to that whole segment of Kevin Bowe's interview where he talks about his collaboration with Ms. Courtney over 4 years and more to come, and about her forthcoming debut album. Here's link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/enfFiKGEj5WkfpY Thanks for sharing! Also, don't forget to share that she's still raising funds for self-releasing this debut album as an indie singer-songwriter. Go to her fundraiser on Go Fund Me. Please help however you can!

In German - Courtney is a "Rampensau" (best performer) - live performances are her life elixir, she fights for it with all her fibers (IMO Courtney can also act very well - towards musical). My favorite are her rock versions, but Courtney is so versatile, she could sing "almost" anything (besides, Courtney would kill almost all the originals she covers). On the planned tour in the USA you will discover and love the extraordinary Courtney next to Taylor, Lady Gaga, Pink etc.

Courtney is truly amazing. Miley, with her country rock background would have not done the song justice. She truly embodies the spirit of Janis Joplin. I cannot imagine anyone else singing the song with the same energy that she has.

I would not like to follow that performance regardless of how famous I was. It is not just the amazing voice but how she moves around the stage and makes you feel the song with her.
