First and foremost both are two great artist, the best in the the last decade. The fact of the matter is Alkaline is a much better artist because he's done better in the last 10 years. Remember when Alkaline was having the hits even though Kartel is in jail he was huge rival to Alkaline then there was popcorn and others but Masicka doesnt have the rivalry as Alkaline had.

The reason i say Alkaline has had a better career is he has had a bigger IMPACT in dancehall. Masicka has done well but to me, this is just HIS moment. Look at Konshens for example, when he had his moment he could do no wrong but then people just move on, its not easy to be the main man. For Masicka to cement his name sadly he needs to clash Alkaline or popcaan otherwise he fades away, only Vybz kartel has managed to stay on top for so long followed by Popcaan and then Alkaline.
