Masjid An Nabawi is the 2nd largest mosque in the world constructed by our Prophet Muhammad pbuh. This mosque underwent number of 12 expansions throughout its history, starting from 622 to 2012 CE, with the days of Prophet Muhammad & Caliphs followed by the Umayyads, the Abbasids, the Ottomans, and finally, The Saudi Era.

MasyaAllah. I just been there and the mosque is magnificent. The most serene and peaceful place on earth. I went to pray at 3AM, keep praying until Subuh prayer, my eyes always in tears. May Allah invite me again and again every Ramadhan to Madina❤❤❤

Now the Vision 2030 expansion is going to happen soon. They plan to increase the size over 4 times of today’s size. Which would make 12 Million people to pray at a time.
