I also do not cut the centers out of my bottom layer piece because of the little "dip-down" (perfect description, by the way). It may not be noticeable to most people, but I know it's there. Love your card today and I can hardly wait to get that balloon stencil! I do have the "Happy" die, and you were correct in saying not everyone needs the stamp set, but they still want the die.

Cathy, I’ve been unable to make many cards for almost a full year but I’m back. I barely recognize my studio. In fact for the past week I’ve been familiarizing my self and reorganizing in preparation. This card will be the template/inspiration for all birthday cards for the coming year although I may give sets to select recipients as Christmas gifts and send another for the birthdays of those people. Great stuff, always! I watched your live replay yesterday? You mentioned you liked the enamel dots/jewels that are smaller. Me too. Memory Box has a product called “Fairy Jewels” (under the Open Studio line, I think) All the jewels are 2-3 mm. Super small, lots of colors.

I start with a 4.25 x 5.5 inch piece of cardstock, then the die I used to trim the blended ballon panel down is 3.75 wide by 5 inches tall.
