Learn how to 3d track in your masks into your scene so you can minimize how much you actually have to use the pen tool!! I use this masking trick all the time, and hope you learn something useful :D

may i know the reason why u mask the lamp and the wall?

If don't, lamp and that bed head rest will cut by that other video. If do, can place other video behind that lamp. That will look real.

no used track mattes! So like in this video I selected a target from the 3d track that was stuck onto lamp / bed and created a camera and solid then used pen tool on a solid to mask out object
