Travis actually has technique and a naturally beautiful tone, add that to years of experience performing and you've got yourself a vocal beast. Singe tries too hard to sound bad, his singing sounds like a cartoon character making taunting noises. I checked out his live videos too and they sounded 100x worse than the ones that he prerecords. I suggest you go see an ear doctor to get your hearing checked out like honestly, you might have a hearing disorder. You can thank me later ;)
