It`s ridiculous. As an Eighties kid it was obvious first song. Only one Viking has that distinctive voice. When he hit those high notes in Take On Me, despite disguising his voice, anyone older than 40 who didn`t get it should be ashamed.

Oh dear, may I be snobby and say that this was below him? An audition -based game show? I only found out about this gig when I was looking for the video of the lovely duet that he did with the Scorpions: "Winds of Change" on "MTV Unplugged" back in 2013 (or 2014). Both Morten and Klaus Meine have such distinctive voices, and their duet together was just perfect. Morten doesn't have the range he had in the 80's, obviously, but his voice was just fine in the 'teens, and and apparently more recently. I suspect his motive was money, but I will try not to judge.

We're actually taught british in english class over american english, but he's also been travelling alot to England so his english has been affected by that.

When you are a singer you usually also pick up the different intonations and accents of a foreign languague pretty quickly. I sing too and have a very good languague learning capability, I guess it is closely related somehow.
