Excellent use of sleight of hand and misdirection. Especially with the ducks. While we are distracted by the bright cloth, you can see his hand briefly behind the box. There is definitely a hidden platform/compartment for the ducks.

It probably a mirror illusion the mirror reflect only the back maybe the mirror wouldn't show when he walked in front it was tilted. The ducks is hiding behind a mirrors and the mirrors is separated that's why a cloth can go between it looks like nothing's behind it. I'm guessing what it is.
