I would argue Ghirahim's bitter hatred of the Hero (which he makes no qualms about being made known during his and Link's last battle in particular) was passed on as part of Ganon(dorf)'s personality. Think about it, Demise, for all his violent tendencies and desire to put the world under his foot, actually gives Link a fair fight without employing underhanded or shameful tactics ( _during_ the battle), and even respects him to the point of actually allowing him a few moments to truly consider his decision to face him. Ganon(dorf) exhibits no such self-righteousness with those that get the way of his goals.

Something to keep in mind : the Master Sword charges by being raised to the _sky_ and gains a glow. The antithesis could, hypothetically, be charged when stabbed _downwards,_ right? That would explain why Demise purposefully stabs his sword into the ground with the last of his strength. We’ve never seen Demise’s sword charged up, since in the fight, it gets struck by lightning to gain power.

The problem with ghirahim being malice is that it already existed during SS, there was a whole pool of it already resurrecting monsters in the ancient cistern. And as for being the curse itself, i dont know about that. Demise seemed to look surprised at the sword vanishing, like he wasnt expecting it. Then i ask what would ghirahim do to create this curse, somehow bio engineer ganondorf as a being who looks an awful lot like his master? One possible theory i like to lean towards is him somehow becoming dark link. I mean he's literally the dark reflection of fi and the master sword, and dark link also wields a dark master sword. Hard to say though if he's a dark version of link as if to mock him or in the future ganondorf as demises reincarnation managed to pull ghirahim's essence back and turned him into dark link
@rookiedadisPrad3 жыл бұрын

Definitely a plausible theory, for sure Hyrule Historia confirms that each recurrence of Ganon and Ganondorf is in fact Demise in an alternate form each time, and the book also says multiple times that Ghirahim specializes in summoning demons So, a recurring demon summoning Demise over and over again definitely seems very plausible
@koshai65213 жыл бұрын
I think it's possible that Ghirahim himself gets reincarnated, and that the first reincarnation of Demise was actually Ocarina of Time's Ganondorf. Characters like Vaati, Astor, and Yuga all look remarkably like Ghirahim and all aim to revive Ganon in some way or another, similarly to how Ghirahim relentlessly tried to revive Demise is Skyward Sword. I'd say that Demise has reincarnated into Ganon multiple times, and then perhaps Malladus in Spirit Tracks, while Ghirahim reincarnated into Yuga, Vaati, Astor etc. If Ghirahim isn't still actually around like Fi is and actively continuing to revive the Demon King, then he might be getting reincarnated into other characters that look like him and have similar goals.
@windhunter73 жыл бұрын
@@koshai6521 Actually, I think Fi has been getting reincarnated, too In the 2d games, the Great Fairy looks almost identical to Fi, and then on top of that, Fis voice is a lot like Midna's, so could from evolution be an ancestor to the Twili; that one robot was quite fond of her, after all, so definitely could have descendents I'm sure 😉
@koshai65213 жыл бұрын
@@windhunter7 That's certainly a possibility, but unless the reincarnation cycle works in a different and more complicated way to how we know it does, Fi can't have been reincarnated because we see that she's resided within the Master Sword for eons up until The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I watched this theory awhile back that suggested that Ghirahim is actually Majora. The theory goes that after Link, Zelda, and Groose returned to the present, Impa encountered Ghirahim, or what was left of him, and sealed him away within Majora's Mask. The reasoning behind this that Majora's Mask is implied to be incredibly ancient, and for many years, it's been speculated that Majora's Mask was created by the Interlopers, who themselves are speculated to be members of the Sheikah tribe. If Impa did create Majora's Mask, or at least used it to seal Ghirahim away, than it fits with the known origins of Majora's Mask. Also, Ghirahim and Majora are both known to be insane, and perhaps Ghirahim being Majora is the reason why Majora says that Link is the bad guy. Because in a previous life, Link killed his master, and was a thorn in his side throughout Skyward Sword.

He does not claim to have just cursed the hero and Zelda. He merely reports that the two of them are ALREADY cursed to repeat this cycle. This implies that he may have completed the curse when sealed by Hylia, foreseeing her plans before his downfall. When Link defeats him, he has been RESURRECTED, implying that he was defeated once before. This was likely when the curse was placed.

Link defeated two incarnations of Demise: once with the Triforce (Skyloft in the present) and once with the Master Sword in the past. If this means that Girahim can come back or that he has already come back multiple times I am so on board with this theory!

You always have the most ridiculous speculation, but there's always some credibility to the wild ideas that come out of your head. It's clear that you actually put some thought into your work, and I for one, really appreciate that. Too many Zelda tubers come up with some stuff with zero evidence at all, and then speak as if it's fact, so you are a welcome change. Been subbed for a while, and I can't sub twice, but I WILL sub to your second channel ;)

“Giriham is Malice” isn’t even the weirdest theory that makes sense which I’ve seen and I still did a double take

I really do want to know where Ghirahim went. Did he “abandon” Demise? Because he seemed to have just teleported away from the battle. And I’m not sure if it’s just me being over-observant, but Demise appeared pretty surprised, or at least caught off-guard. I don’t think he was absorbed into the Master Sword nor do I believe that he was killed when his Master was killed. If he really is Fi’s counterpart, this means that the same rules apply to him as they do to Fi/the Master Sword. (There may be a few exceptions, but we can touch on those later.) What I’m suggesting is that he’s somehow, somewhere still alive, or at least existing in some dormant state, because when Link is killed/not present in the timeline, Fi doesn’t get destroyed/dissolved. Obviously, neither Fi or Ghirahim are directly tied to their Masters’ life force, yet they are both crucial in their survival/revival. So if Fi is “present” in the BotW era, where is Ghirahim? Where has he been for the whole timeline(s)?
@maddinzf79673 жыл бұрын
I mean Ghirahim was stabed multiple times in the crystal on his chest, the same where the anti master sword was created out of. Fi also has the same crystal btw. Maybe thats the source where the two blades are drawing their power from since they are also present on the swords. I guess if the blade spirits are badly wounded, the swords become unstable. I mean they ARE the embodyment of the swords. Ghirahim is really injured the time he enters the sword. Maybe Demise is so shocked because he never believed that his sword could be destroyed like how the Master sword can't be. He didn't care about Ghirahim, he hasn't payed attention that he was so beaten up. He probably did not realise in which state his sword was hince the disbelieve when it just disappeared. The sword or rather Ghirahin couldn't handle anymore fighting with link

My only rebottle is that when he slams his sword to the ground and it disappears he looks at the palm of his hand like why is it disappearing if you look at his face

Demise stabbing his sword to the ground to enact the curse makes so much sense and I can't believe I never considered that in 10 years. Stuff like this is why I love you and all the other YT Zelda theorists.

Hey mask Nintendo banded here is a very special theory what if Nintendo put out skyward sword HD instead of breath of the wild two because if they would have released breath of the wild people wouldn’t recognize the sky elements and the return of Ghirahim so Nintendo was preparing us for breath of the wild two

The only problem about this theory is the fact that Demise looked... confused/surprised to see his weapon disappear. You can see it in the clip at 9:26, where Ghirahim disappears and Demise then rotates his hand and then looks at it for a moment.

A good theory however think about this: If Ghirahim was actually absorbed into the Master Sword, that means that there could technically be both Fi(Fee?) and Ghirahim inside the sword! What if they have spent thousands upon thousands of years with each other, unable to leave the sword! Idk, might be funny lol.

Personally I feel like Ghirahim fled since when Demise looks to his sword dissolving he looks surprised. As to the curse of the demon tribe it might be some sort of evocation fueled by the last bit of Demise' life force being transfered before he basically disintegrates. Also I hope thing are all good in the banding household and especially for poor Ganon. Huskies are not made for the heat and I want the poop pup to be ok

The thing is if ghirahem was destroyed when his creator was, then why wasn’t FI when Hylia died. Denise and Hylia both had sword spirits, and reincarnations. So if hylias lived when she died, then I can’t see why demise’s wouldn’t.
@maddinzf79673 жыл бұрын
Hylia was badly wounded and hasn't really died. She transformed her soul as a last afford to survive and to hold up the seal

I know I’m late on this one, but it really seems like malice is flowing out of the dead body, that is presumably ganandorf, in the BOTW2 Trailer. Therefore, gannondorf makes malice, and if girahim IS malice, then ganadorf makes girahim, not the other way around.

I've had kind of a similar thought. I've thought that Ghirahim is still stuck in that realm, watching the events of the series and trying to figure out a way to get the heck out of there. One more thought is that he could be influencing things to a certain degree from in there, as I'm sure the hatred of watching your side get defeated over and over again is sure to produce a lot of Malice, and he's still Demise's second in command, meaning he probably still holds some influence. I've given this man way too much thought, but given he's the main villain of a fanfic I'm working on, I kind of have to. I really hope we get to see him return in some form or another!
@deathechovii3 жыл бұрын
Well being how history can be recorded incorrectly, I would find it interesting if Ghirahim was actually 'Demise' and the one Link fought and defeated was nothing more than a facade.

This is one of the most believable theories I’ve heard in recent years and sounds like it could definitely become true. What if this whole time the true evil is actually ghirahim. He’s able to bring his master back time and time again, something that his master could not do himself. Ghirahim has so much personality compared to the reincarnations of his master that shows he would be the better overall antagonist. We see that zant is basically controlling ganondorf so why can’t ghirahim do the same. Demise may of been the true original evil but he was defeated and ghirahim took a pledge to keep his ‘legacy’ alive but all reincarnations of him were weaker in comparison.
@taylorsimonson84982 жыл бұрын
What if it was both Ghirahim running away and that he is the curse. Not wanting to die, he vanishes, surprising Demise. However as he sees this, he realizes that Ghirahim can continue to live on and continue to reek havoc in his place. He therefore states this curse as instructions for Ghirahim to follow and fulfill for ever

Dang, these theories are great, my theory was that ghirahim got reincarnated into the people who succeeded in fully reserecting ganon, like agahnim, yuga, & astor. Now I want to believe that ghirahim being the curse of the demon tribe is true, awesome theories as always 👍
@nlogsd093 жыл бұрын
I like the idea that he's been reincarnated throughout the series as well. Manifesting in the disciples trying to revive Ganon/Demise. Think twinrova or Zant himself. These "kooky" characters who's sole mission is to revive the demon king. Seems to be like it's Ghirahim.

I'd love to see a video detailing the greatness that is Malo from Twilight Princess. I started a new playthrough the other day, and I noticed for the first time the sign on the Malo Mart door in Kakariko at night. It's freaking hilarious!

I have always liked Ghirahim. It would be cool if the key to ending the cycle would not be ending Ganon himself or any of his variants, but instead, ending Ghirahim (somehow).

Yay, another video about carnivorous swords! These have.been popping up in my recommendations recently, and while some of them are older, most of them are fairly young. Video age aside, let me get back to carnivorous swords... I agree with your final assessment. As far as Ghirahim taking forms other than a sword or a humanoid, that may be due to the influence of his wielder at any given time. It also may be that Demise's absence keeps him from taking a humanoid shape. As for him possibly conversing with his wielders since Demise, I don't think he would have found them worthy, which puts a knot in the idea that he may have been wielded by people other than Demise himself for me. He was crafted by Demise to specifically be a tool. During Demise's imprisonment, did Ghirahim work to free him because it was part of his function? I'm not sure; Demise was far too full of himself and encountering a human who was ballsy enough to stand against him seemed to be enough of a pleasant surprise that he showed a respect for his adversary you typically don't see in the run-of-the-mill demon king. Demise was certainly no dumbass, so it may well have been that he worked failsafes, backups, and secondary functions into Ghirahim. That doesn't explain the pleasure Ghirahim took in battle, the frustration he showed during key points throughout the game, or the joy he expressed at Demise's return. Fi, on the other hand, only came to know happiness and gratitude while on Link's journey with him. This brings up the question of how long Ghirahim was with Demise prior to Hylia crafting Fi. It also brings up another question: how exactly did Demise temper Ghirahim? One could argue that he was tempered in the three sacred flames as the golden goddesses appear to have been morally neutral, but maybe not? Demise was of the demon tribe, after all, not of the gods' tribe. There's another question here of whether or not immortals can use the flames at all but if I go there I'll forget where I want to go with this. Carnivorous swords. Considering Ghirahim's bloodthirsty nature, it could be that he was bathed in the blood of the gods. The only gods we ever hear about in the Zeldaverse are the three golden goddesses, Hylia, and Demise. If there are more I've forgotten, someone please let me know. If there were more, did Demise hunt them and use their blood to temper Ghirahim, or did he go around slaying insanely old and powerful slightly lesser spirits instead? If Ghirahim was bathed in blood rather than flame, it may explain the massive personality differences between him and Fi. Yes, I also think the Master Sword (Fi) is carnivorous, and since there's been such a large time gap between the last game and BoTW, that may explain why the sword almost kills Link when he pulls it 100 years pre-BoTW (and again during BoTW)as well as at least the previous two risings of Demise's curse have been Calamity events, which I'm assuming were as hands-off as it were as the most recent one (the evil wasn't actually stabbed with the Master Sword as a finishing blow prior to being sealed away again). I also think that's why the sword glows when in the presence of Malice or Malice-infected enemies, it wants sustenance. In WW, the Master Sword needs prayed over to maintain its abilities, but it doesn't in OoT or TP. In BoTW it needs time to rest after a certain length of time to regain its strength, and even finishing the DLC doesn't entirely restore it. It was also put in its pedestal before the Deku Tree by Zelda so it could heal after the damage it sustained pre-BoTW. Ooo, here's a thought. Back to Ghirahim. When Demise thrust him into the ground, depending on what physical ground the otherworldly ground would correspond with, did Demise have Ghirahim...uh, regurgitate himself into the ground as the curse? So that way there would be no way to break or otherwise stop the curse, period? The earth, according to the lore, would correspond with Din which would prevent the.curse from running out of steam. The curse would take on the behavior and attributes of a natural force (which we see in BoTW). Ah shit, did another wall and went off on a tangent again. Sowwy.
