Hosted by Nick Cannon, with panelists Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke, “The Masked Singer’' is a top-secret singing competition in which celebrities face off against one another while shrouded from head to toe in an elaborate costume, concealing his or her identity. With each performance, the host, panelists, audience, viewers and even the other contestants are left guessing who is singing behind the mask. The singers may attempt to throw off the crowd, but keen observers might pick up on tiny clues buried throughout the show. Each week, a singer is eliminated -- and then reveals his or her true identity.

@@mariettaborders1647 Nobody used the word "sellout" except for you. It's not rude to point out that Ed Sheeran is miles more successful than David Archuleta and wouldn't have anything to gain from being on this show. The same goes for Harry Styles who just won a bunch of GRAMMYs, for God's sake. This show gets C-list contestants at best. David Archuleta is a fantastic singer and, by all accounts, a lovely person. I think he deserves to win this series more than anyone and I hope he goes on to have greater success, but he is generally considered a one hit wonder and most people haven't thought about his name in years. He's somebody who could really benefit from this kind of exposure so it makes sense for him to be a contestant.

​@@squidink3470I agree, Ed and Harry are too big at the moment. David is just as talented, but not as well known or sought after. Maybe in 40 years Ed and Harry will start doing reality shows (like Donny Osmond and some of the other legendary performers we've seen).
