I noticed that your videos are marked as “for kids”. This is a new setting for uploaded videos. Videos “for kids” means that your videos don’t appear in the feed and history, are not recommended and have the comments section off. Not sure if you are doing this by choice so I m bringing this to your attention because this may affect your subscribers grow and viewership. You can change the setting per video at at channel level.

Thank you! I’m not proficient with Final Cut Pro but I’m sure you can. Furthermore, being a full fledged desktop editor, it probably has masking capabilities that would make the task easier than the way I did it in LumaFusion. Now, within LumaFusion this is one of several methods that I developed to do Subject Behind Text. Check also these tutorials I made: Using Chroma Key: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jITTk6COf9KSi9U Using Luma Key (towards the end of the video): kzbin.info/www/bejne/rZK8Y5SlmdOWipY

You can use this method to do text revealing from behind objects or subjects, like when the boat sails the text appears from behind the boat, You just need two versions of the video, one like this with the text on it, and one without the text, and the crop the one video on top, and key frame it, so the text only comes out of the left side of the sail.

I just got a new idea for the depth map feature, If you invert so the foreground becomes dark and the background white, You can use it as a fog effect on Your images :) Just use an app that can save both the Photo and depth map separately. You could even key frame the brightness slider to make it look like the fog is appearing and getting thicker.

Great video but I can’t make it work. I made it all the way to the export part. I created a new project with the video I just made but the title is green......I added a 2nd clip but you didn’t specify what to do with that clip, in your example, the title of that clip is “green”. Do I apply the chroma key to the clip with the green title or the new clip underneath ?
@ManantialVE4 жыл бұрын
First of all, thank you for watching and experimenting. The answer is yes, you got it right. After the export, you create a new project. The main track should contain a video or image that you want to see through the text. In the track above that, place the video with the green text and apply Chroma Key to it using pure green as the key color. You may need to adjust the chroma Key settings. No need to change anything in the video in the main track. Check the tutorial starting from 4:35. Please let me know if this helped.
@Chip594 жыл бұрын
@@ManantialVE ..thanks for the quick reply. I tried again and I’m obviously doing something wrong. If you don’t have the time, don’t worry about it but here’s a video showing what I did. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYCueqKvr8usqqM At 00:30 I imported the original video, without the title, and at 00:55, I applied the chroma key to the clip with the title, and you can see the result. Thanks.
@ManantialVE4 жыл бұрын
At 0:33 you are adding a video to the same track. The issue is that it is the original video. Let's say that your goal is for the text to be red; so do the following: Instead of adding the original video, add a title with a rectangle that covers the whole title and set the face color of the rectangle to red. Now proceed and apply chroma key to the second track. Let me know if it worked. If it didn't I can create an example for you.

@ManantialVE Жыл бұрын
LumaFusion doesn’t support live streaming. If you are thinking about editing in post, then yes. With that said, many talking head style videos use a green screen, in which case you don’t need this workflow (background in main track, text in second track, talking head in third track)

I’d try chroma key first. Keep in mind that you can add multiple chroma key instances to the same video, so you are able to filter out multiple colors, accounting in that way for the multiple colors you have in the background.

Would You be interested in sharing some of Your ideas for future videos? I’m interested interested in trying some of the ideas out before You turn them into a tutorial, so it might give You some inspiration or feedback on what kind of clips to add in the tutorial. Plus You could do a video of the list of the ideas You have, to see witch ones people want to see first, if it doesn’t put too much pressure on Your work schedule. It’s just an idea.

Thank you! The idea has the potential of improving the quality of my videos and process but I won’t be able to accept your offer. As you probably noticed, I’m posting videos every 2-3 weeks. This is not due to lack of ideas but due to a demanding lifestyle. Until a few months ago I maintained an organized list of ideas, but due to time constraints many of those ideas were dropped in the middle or not picked up at all. To give you an idea, I ended the research for the video about text behind subject 3 months ago. I’m sure that the fact that I’m not posting many videos affects the success and grow of this channel, but family comes first. I truly appreciate your help and your support, and I find great value in the fact that we are both learning of each other’s ideas. However, I’m afraid that any additional tasks I add to the production of my videos will delay deliveries further more. I hope you continue sharing your ideas with me.
@Ponk_804 жыл бұрын
Mobile Video Editing I understand, I will definitely be sharing more ideas with You as I get them, I tend to get my ideas on the spot as I watch something new or have an inspirational moment from an idea that pops into my mind, I then try to recreate that idea in LumaFusion, and if it works I share the results either on the Facebook group I’m in or here on KZbin. And if people seem interested in a tutorial, I try to do one as painless as possible, I’m terrible at planning and staying on course, so I work while I still feel inspired to do the work, sadly I get bored easily with something I’m not experimenting on. It’s the reason I don’t really like doing tutorials, I prefer spreading ideas and inspiration instead, to give people who like making tutorials something to work with.
@Ponk_804 жыл бұрын
Would it be possible that You would be willing to share some of Your unused ideas with me, that You aren’t going to make tutorials for anyway? I would like to try them out, and use them to work on my will to make tutorials.
@ManantialVE4 жыл бұрын
Sure! I’m going to work from memory because I can’t find that list. Here is one idea that I discussed with Tammy Sypniewsky, because I was going to mention her video about cloning: Clone yourself and then have one clone of you pass an object to the other. My plan was to have both clones pass around a cup of coffee, both taking a sip from it. Second and simpler idea about cloning; this was going to be a challenge to my viewers: one clone stays in the middle of the screen, while the other goes around him, first behind, then in front of him. More to come...

Oh and the ability to rotate Fonts and shapes in 3D space would be nice too, so that they not always face flat towards the viewers. and a custom 2D/3D shapes creator. for patching and other cool stuff. and a grading. and radial blur.
