Hey Mireille, I got my braidllocs around the same time as you, mine are 14 months old. I've been doing this routine every night for about a month now, and it comes out so cute. Only thing different is that I turn mine under at the ends as if to curl them and I love the low maintenance style. I've been following your website for all your information and have learned a lot. Thanks.

That is pretty and low maintenance. How often do you interlock?

I should do it every two months but left it way too long this time.

No, it's not exactly the same. Here is where I explain the differende: going-natural.com/Going-Locs/the-difference-between-braidlocs-sisterlocks-and-traditional-dreadlocks-explained.html

Not necessarily. It's cheaper. I see that your hair looks kind of straight so if your hair is like in your picture braid locs won't work. For braid locks your hair need to hold a braid naturally like African hair does.

Yes, they need to be and it's important that they are if you want to be able to style your hair in updos later. You can read more on my Going Locs blog: going-natural.com/Natural-Hairstyles/Going-Locs/

Difficult question. I honestly don't know the answer. My biggest challenge has always been the parting. Especially the back. So I would recommend asking someone to help. Good luck and please keep me posted.

I haven't counted them but not as many as sisterlocks and probably a few more than traditional ones.
