Do you know if you have to buy the Mason jar rings to make nipples fit or keep regular metal rings?

Did the Tommee Tippee fit the mason jar?

Shoot, I wish I had found this video sooner. I do love that you can use mason jars as d.i.y. baby food containers too.

They break easily and broken glass is harmful. Good for a newborn or small baby but babies tend to throw things and these will break.

how do you sterilize the mason jars? they don’t break?
@lizbransky96534 жыл бұрын
Jan-Reine Sudara you can just boil them. Don’t break 👍🏼

Liz Bransky THANK YOU!! im scared the mason jars might break so i want to make sure someone has tried them already and it worked ☺️ thank u for this information - definitely helpful. just a couple more questions if okay to ask, any specific mason jars u prefer using and how long do you boil them for?

@@jan-reinesudara8867 I have yet to use mason bottles, that being said, I've been using mason jars almost exclusively for over 5 years now. Yes, I've had a couple that have broken in the past but quite honestly they're pretty indestructible and in the dishwasher they come out SUPER clean and I'm sure sanitized.

Jan-Reine Sudara hi! I typically use the Ball mason jars, 8 oz with the standard mouth. When I boil them it’s usually for about 5 mins. Hope that helps!

Hi Liz! I know this video is a bit old but I just got my bottles in the mail today and I have one question. I got the 4 oz but the bottle only reads upto 2 oz. I don’t have the baby brezza. My question is how will I pour 4 oz of water + formula into this bottle like how will I even measure it? Thanks!
@rebeccahunt75373 жыл бұрын
You're going to need to use a liquid measuring cup

Or just a set of kitchen scales

Does anyone know if there's a sippy cup type insert for the Mason jar lid? It would be great to have another way to use the Mason jar.
@lizbransky96534 жыл бұрын
Tim or Karen that would be awesome! I think Target sells silicone lids that go on top of a cup /mason jar that turns them into sippy cups . That would work!
@Tonia8974 жыл бұрын
The mason bottle website sells straws that fit, but you can also get stretchy silicone sippy lids as well ( not from mason bottle)

Will the nipple cap from the mason diy kit fit over the comotomo nipples? Thanks so much for sharing!
@ashleybernardo83494 жыл бұрын
I was wondering the same thing!!
@lizbransky96534 жыл бұрын
I don’t think they do because the comotomo nipples stick up a bit higher than the mason bottle nipples.
@lennyguerrerofeliciano85654 жыл бұрын
It doesn’t fit, I bought two comotomo nipples and it fits perfect in the mason jars and I think I like them better than the mason bottle nipples because they’re softer but I haven’t found a nipple cap that fits to it, if any of you found a nipple cap please let me know ☺️

What about the minbie nipples? Do they fit as well?

I’m not sure , haven’t tried those before

Be careful with the metal rings. If you make ahead and refrigerate for daycare or whatever, the milk can react with the metal.

Would be good for newborn but the older baby gets the quicker they learn to throw things and these bottles will break. Been there 25 years ago with my oldest son who loved the playtex glass bottles and refused to take anything else after using that nipple sadly he would throw them and they would break or I would drop one and it would break even with a silicone cover on it. I had someone make me cloth covers and they made them last a little longer but as soon as I could get him on a new bottle and I tried everyday for months I did. I know that mason jars are cheap but the broken glass is harmful and hard to get up all the pieces which can cause you and or baby having glass stuck in you. Just not a good idea.
