To me, one of the best plays of the game was at the end when a sure touchdown wasn't because Najee Harris gave himself up inside the 5 to let the clock run down as he knew Seattle had no time outs. Team over personal stats. I like that.

One thing I am sure about is any time a team scored 30 points on us the past 2 tears it was obvious we wasn't going to compete in those games ......go back and take a look and we have been averaging 14 to 15 points a game in the last 2 years on offense......with Mason and the team playing like it is now .....averaging 32 points a game and turning down points at games end .....with Mason those games against the 49ers and Houston would have at least been competitive.....one thing I know is we have had the best quarterback on the practice squad for the last 2 years ......the telling Parr is the game that KP had his big numbers game against Cincinnati 5 weeks ago the team only scored 16 points ......most quarterback would call that a bas day .....as yards are OK it's poi to that matters most 😅

I live in Oklahoma City and we are an Oklahoma State family. We have been supporting and following Mason for years! When he was drafted to the Steelers, we were so excited and looked for some real promising things from the Steelers. But unfortunately Pittsburgh never gave Mason a chance. They brought him in and expected him to be another big bin instantly. I'm sorry, but that's not realistic, that's not the way it's done. Most teams give their franchise quarterback or their quarterback who they are trying to make a franchise quarterback a year or so to work into it. Look at Justin Fields, look at Bryce Young, look at several other quarterbacks out there that don't immediately step in and become a star franchise quarterback. After a few games, Pittsburgh just wrote Mason off and threw him on the bench. It's very sad because now you guys are finally seen what I've known for years what the potential was From this man and he is a true NFL caliber quarterback. He has the boys, the confidence, and the composure, to stand out there and just be a total Baller and make guys rally around him. He's got a canon for an arm, and he has great accuracy And he's just so good! I wouldn't be surprised if he left because of the way Pittsburgh has treated him over the years, but he has been loyal to Pittsburgh, he has done everything they've asked of him, he has not griped about it and not complained. he is a true class act! Pittsburgh will be lucky to get him back

I don't see why it would be related to the Myles Garrett stuff. If Tomlin had believed Garrett, he wouldn't have gotten on national TV to debunk Garrett's claims and lambast ESPN for their race hustling, and straight up defend Mason. Go back and watch that stuff if you need to. Tomlin was straight on it. He didn't believe Garrett's claims because he was on the field immediately and didn't hear anyone talking about it, and no one at the Cleveland organization told him via back channel. And he supported Mason 100% on TV, when he didn't have to. If the beef is personal, it probably have something to do with football matters. Maybe Mason said something after being dropped to QB3 and he felt he didn't deserve it or something. It could be anything, but I strongly doubt that it is related to the Garrett BS.

ICYMI....It was the defense that got us through the first part of the season. But I agree that in the last 2-3 games they look shaky. But don't forget, I beleive 4 starters are out. I’m probably the biggest KP8 supporter here. And as much as I’d like to throw all the Kenny haters stats out there like how Mason didn’t throw a TD in this game since everyone knocks Kenny for not throwing touchdown passes. But there is no argument anymore at least for this season, possibly beyond. These guys RESPOND to Mason Rudolph. The effort is TJ Watt level from everyone on the offense. Well done Mason! On to Baltimore! Kenny, prepare to be the backup just in case but Mason has the ball right now. In my opinion if we are able to keep Mason for next season I would like to see two more things before putting an entire season in his hands. First, learn how to throw a good back shoulder ball. Second, what does he look like with some adversity. The two games he’s played he hasn’t had to deal with much pressure or his guys missing. No free runners coming at him, or dropped TD passes, or a game with a team that can shut down the run game. It’s a lot easier to play QB when you’re running for 200 yards. But can’t knock the guy for getting it done against lesser opponents, he’s earned the ball the rest of this season. Let’s go Mason!

Btw...Steelers upset many by choosing to sit on ball on Seahawks 3 yard line instead of scoring another touchdown which would have made the score 37-27 with about a min or so left. The lesson to this decision? Don't gamble. ------------+ Steelers should be 12-4 going into Baltimore whose record is 13-3. Steelers only have one loss within our division (Browns 1-1, Ravens also split with Browns 1-1). Steelers defeated Ravens earlier this year & thus have a better division record than Ravens. With Rudolph at helm, would we have defeated the 2-8 Cardinals & the 2-9 Patriots at home? And what about the Colts... which turned out to be back to back to back losses! Imagine the ramifications in this upcoming Sunday game between Steelers vs Ravens. If the Ravens lost to the Steelers again...especially in game 17! Both would be 13-4 w/Ravens winless against Steelers 🤔 The Coaching & decision making should not be forgotten. Why would Rudolph want to play under this same head coach next year...why would he even trust him? Rudolph is a gentleman & leader. He continues to be gracious because of his faith & his teammates. To call out Tomlin in the middle of 'this ride' would be ludicrous. This reminds me of the Pgh Pirates, when our pitchers go elsewhere & succeed. Management is a terrible thing to waste.

His approach to the game shows his maturity, as he throws to everyone, and does not try to play favourites by feeding only Diontae Johnson. His experience, of almost being run out of town, has taught him that nothing is guaranteed, and that there is a $30+ million per year contract, for whoever wins the starting job. Mason maybe 28, but he has a lot of mileage in him, as he has not played much. Stick a fork in Pickett, trade Trubitsky for another cornerback, and lets move on. We have our starter

Mason is a better QB. His accuracy down field helps the running game. His willingness to stay in the pocket helps the O line and Running Game because they know where their QB is. He knows how to read defenses and keeps his head up. Now will the Steelers hire an OC that will complement Mason. I think Mason will be back and Kenny is going to sit, mature, and grow.

I'm glad you finally apologized to Mason, respect for to you for that. I've always thought that you and Stephen A. Smith and Ryan Clark and other media people had a lot to do with Mason not getting a fair shot. He won the QB competition last year but all of you kept saying we "we know who he is" and he's not the guy. I've watched Mason improve every time he got on the field and that still continues today. I'm excited to watch him get even better as time goes on. I apologize to you as well because I got upset listening to the constant bashing of Mason and said some mean stuff in his defense. Bro okay so here’s the thing, it’s NO WHERE CLOSE TO BEING KENNYS FAULT. Idk why people keep calling Kenny Pickett ass and all this bs when he hasn’t played in a MONTH. Another thing is people just clearly don’t watch football. When Kenny last played a full game was when they played the bengals and won 16-10. Yes, they only scored 16, but they really would’ve scored like 23 when Kenny threw a dime to Diontae Johnson in the endzone and he stepped in bounds three times, but the refs called it incomplete. That game btw was also the first game without atrocious Matt Canada at OC. And to set the record straight Pickett still had them at 7-4. The same thing happened when they played Tennessee. Pickett threw a Td pass to Pickens but he didn’t drag his foot when he had PLENTY of room. If receivers aren’t being aware of the game and putting in effort like this wr group has had issues with for a while, you can’t blame it on the qb. Also when Pickett beat the bengals it was their first 400+ offensive yardage game since Ben was there. So basically Pickett gets hurt after they were almost able to score on the opening drive against AZ, they start Mitch over Mason (pure stupidity) who is not a nfl caliber qb. And loses to AZ, NE, and IND, which were all favorable games and they drop to 7-7. Within those games, Mitch threw 5 interceptions to some of the worst teams in the league. Then, they so happen to bench Mitch and start Mason vs. Cincinnati. What happens??? A blowout happens and the offense explodes in a 34-11 win against the bengals. Next week vs Seattle. They win again, but, the thing is I didn’t see Mason throw a Td pass all the points were rushes and fg… I still think that Mason is good and has improved since he last played in 2019, but what people don’t understand is MASON RUDOLPH IS BENEFITING OFF OF MATT CANADAS FIRING. So basically what I’m saying is if Kenny were not to get hurt or Mitch Trubisky didn’t play at all, Steelers would be 12-4 or 11-5 at worst.

Wow! Same Matt Canada plays and schemes. Same receivers, running backs, tight ends, and offensive line. Yet, the team scored 30 points and eclipsed 400 yards of offense..Like I said all year long, this team needed a competent quarterback who can make basic throws, read the defense, and stay in the pocket. When Mitch played, the OC could make Mitch throw accurate passess. The OC could keep Mitch from throwing picks. The difference is the Quarterback! Period.

As one who can honestly say believed Mason Randolph could win/help win games for you because well he DID even back in 2019 or so, yeh you and/or missed those things. When people saying he couldn't be a NFL QB, that apparently they thought he couldn't have talent to develop or not even give him a chance of such like any other QB, people were missing those things. Need to sign a new OC first. Need to sign Rudolph for 2024. I think every OC interviewed is going to push really hard to sign Mason. Rudolph just opens up the whole offense. Big arm, stretch defense, then run ball and/or short passes. What OC would not want that. Release Trubrisky get that money to Mason. Add starting incentives to push that contract to 15 million. Draft another QB in 5/6/7th round.

Mike T and company overlooking Rudolph like they did is a travesty. He looked great in preseason and yet they rolled with Mitch when Pickett went down. Even after Mitch proved in the first game against a 2-10 opponent that he sucks, they still rolled with Mitch. That is bad coaching.

If Mason wins next week and we get into the playoffs and able to win one there . Then in regular season Mason gets the nod until he shows he can't do it anymore. If we win but don't get into the playoffs then who ever has the better game in the preseason should get the nod . Draft a backup and bring in flacco or another cheap savy vet

Let's not lose two or three in the starting of the season, put Mason in let's get some results early. Pickett can learn from Mason like Mason learned from Big Ben. And if Kenny can't learn well we'll move on, it's not about whether we like Kenny or not it's NFL is merciless and performance-based and not personality based. Tomlin does not coach well when backed into a corner. Every year the Steelers have to rely on other teams winning or losing to make it into the playoffs. They never win when they have to win, because of Tomlin. They haven’t won a playoff game since 2014. That’s 9 years of failure in a row.

Recently there certainly has been a slip in defensive play but we wouldn't even be talking about the possibility of a playoff game if it weren't for the defense in the first half of the season. And Minkah Fitzpatrick is more to this defense than most realize.

Noah, you are very back and forth on the QB1 topic. The other day, you wrote an article on how Kenny will go back to being QB1 next season and you even said "rightfully so". Rightfully so, despite not making plays or putting up numbers to justify his QB1 status or being a former first round pick. So are you supporting Kenny or Mason? 😅 Mason was drafted as Ben's successor so he should have been QB1 at the start of last season, even Ben said that before the 2022 draft. Kenny should have never been drafted by the Steelers. It makes zero sense to put Mason in a closet for five years until you need someone to save your magical "never had a losing season" record. If Tomlin goes back to Kenny as QB1 next year, that's going to cause a major rift in fans. That move might cost them in ticket sales and viewership as well. Mike just wants to win enough to escape a losing season. In the past six years, Mike has only been doing enough, with 9-7 seasons and one 8-8 season. You could count that 12-4 season but most of the NFL were calling that a fluke and saying the steelers were using smoke and mirrors. They were not a playoff team, which makes sense, since they lost in the first game. Losing in the first game of the playoffs is a Tomlin trademark after all. Also, last note, the Steelers defeated the Seahawks 30-23, not 30-27.
