As a doctor who gave up practice to enjoy the first few years of my child's life thoroughly, I know the easiest way to deal with 'Mom' or 'Dad's guilt is to actually slow down, take a break, be kind to your body and your child's innate need (espcially first six months) and actually let work take a backseat. Careers can be established a year later, the infancy doesn't come back. Kudos to the two women here and no judgement - but these are my thoughts to the parents who start working two weeks after having a baby. Have them when you have time and space for them.
