Catholic . The Oratory is one of the biggest Catholic churches in the UK and the second biggest in London ( after Westminster Cathedral ) . London has another Catholic Cathedral south of the River Thames , St.Georges in Southwark . London ( UK )and Winnipeg in Canada are the only two cities in the world with two Catholic Archbishops , Westminster ( North of the Thames ) and Southwark ( South of the Thames ) .

Most Catholic churches in the UK are fairly modest he and less than 300 years old as the old medieval churches are now Anglican post reformation . There are a few gems like the London Oratory though . We have 23 Cathedrals in England and Wales and another 8 in Scotland and 4 in Northern Ireland . Some like Westminster in London , Liverpool and Norwich are quite large , most others are more modest down to the quite small ones in Brentwood and Shrewsbury .
