After a little break and a wonderful vacation trip..here a new sad video.
I found that incredible song "Kettering" by the Antlers and was obsessed by the idea of combining it with a sad tribute to the romance of Thane and Shepard.
And this is the result after less than 2 hours! New best time for me xD
This is such a great couple...too bad that there is no happy end for them. But as Shepard said in the last scene..."Meet you across the sea!" I love that sentiment...

I remember when Kolyat said that, I literally burst into tears and my god, I died inside. I was literally _sobbing_ , had to put the game on pause cause I was just destroyed. So I called my boyfriend "Siha" a few days ago not knowing he had played any mass effect games and then he said to me " I am not a goddess of the sea" (the translation of Siha) and I think I fell in love with him at that moment xD, then we cried about how amazing thane was and how underrated he is

i don't think he's underrated at all. i'm a broshep myself...but if you do play femshep, Thane romance is pretty much a must. i mean garrus is cool too, but i think he fits better and was designed to be male sheps best friend more than femsheps love interest.

I choosed Garrus romance first without knowing Thane character even existed, while i finally encountered him i was urging to switch to his romance since i really liked his complex personality but my goal from the start was Garrus so i continued his story even tho in the entire game i was rooting for Thane. So i did 2nd gameplay by choosing Thane and his romance is the best so far, it was deeply sad, even tho i knew he would die i still cried even more at the hospital scene, who knew main character dying would actually make me see it as a happy ending cause she would finally reunite with Thane "Across the sea" :,) This video was beautifully made

i'm always a male shep, and i still always cry during the hospital scene. such a beautifully written character. imo, he and Ash are the 2 best written romances in the game.

If you listen very carefully, you can actually hear the same line during the third nightmare sequence. You hear Mordin, Thane and either Ashley or Kaiden, depending on who you sacrifice during ME1. It's very hard to catch unless you know exactly where/when to listen for it, but it's also not in the pained voice that he has in the hospital bed (at least from what I can tell)

This song is about a cancer patient and their lover during the fight against the disease. It's truly a beautiful and touching song. And to find it and match it with the Shrios relationship was genius. I LOVE this video and watch it at least once a day. The quotations that you paired with it were beautiful. Thank you for making this even if it makes me sad every time

i'm a male shep player, and the hospital prayer always makes me cry. obviously adding the romance makes it more weighty as a death....but man, when you are male shep and just friends....i mean with fem shep, the "she" kind of gives it away. (still emotional as hell though) but when it says "he", shepard just says "Kalyat, why did he wish for forgiveness? he died a hero." then Kalyat tells shepard "the prayer was not for him. he already asked for forgiveness... his wish was for you." i mean damn, wasn't ready my first time playing through that. hit me like a friggin freight train in the feels. that feeling still sticks with me to this day. even with this video, with fem shep, it still brought back all those emotions from that moment. i'm not ashamed to admit i just cryed. probably the greatest emotional moment in a trilogy built on emotional moments. no other game has ever made you actually care about the characters in it on a real life level. hell, i dont think any movie even has. makes you wonder how andromeda was so terribly written....but barring that game, greatest game series of all time.

Very well done, Leofina! Although the whole ME triology was emotional for me, there were only a very few situations that brought tears to my eyes. Thanes death is one of them for sure. Kalahira, this one's heart is pure, but beset by wickedness and contention. Guide this one to where the traveler never tires, the lover never leaves, the hungry never starve. Guide this one, Kalahira, and s/he will be a companion to you as s/he was to me.

I love this video and the choice of music. Very well done and emotional. But if I could make a suggestion of another Thane/FemShep video. I feel like that "My Body Is A Cage" by Peter Gabriel would be without a doubt a truly befitting song for either this video or for Thane himself. Just something to play with.

Every time you play it you will find new things new ways....this game gives you many possibilities...I only played 15 times mass effect 1 ,18 times mass effect 2 and 21 times mass effect 3 and i always discover new things.

I wish we could bring him with us at the end of ME3, or at least contact him somehow...but he had to die...;( Oh and you made me discover this "Kettering" song that I haven't heard before! So lovely!
