Your pots turned out just fine. When you put glaze on them and get them fired, you’ll be surprised at how good they are. It will be a great container for craft supplies if nothing else. Your daughter will love having her own piece of pottery to show her friends. It sounds like a great adventure! ❤
@MsMonica388 ай бұрын
Pretty sure if it does have a hole in it, meaning inside and the clay isn't solid, it will shatter when fired and break some of the surrounding pottery. Not sure, but this is what I understand.

I am thoroughly enjoying watching you make these pockets with that gorgeous paper of yours! loved the reference to the movies (Scoop, etc), and if you have not seen the 2016 series Victoria… Rufus Sewell plays Lord Melbourne. You will swoop over his performance & his relationship with Victoria. Beautifully written, exquisitely cast with incredible costume. Queen 44:27 Victoria’s personal diaries were used for creating this series. It does not disappoint.

Nothing crackable or crumblable, got it 👍😄. Blue and yellow is pretty and that's a nice mellow one. Oh 🎶they call me mellow yellow 🎶 🙊🙊. We did have a day if good weather lol. Throwing a pot is hard 🙈 oh Jasmin's pot is so cool. Yours really isn't that bad Tina, yes they go pale because the water is dried out. I love Gillian Anderson, she is super versatile and graceful. Have you watched 'the fall' with her in (Netflix or Prime I think) it was brilliant. They made him look like Andrew? WOW. Piper was Rose in Dr who, she got too skinny I think. Shame, she is beautiful. The wax seal is perfect on there 😍. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖

Lovely mass make. They get better each time. Enjoyed your chat. I don’t watch much TV and even less British shows, but I had seen a few episodes of "Secret Diary of Call Girl" years ago and thought Billy Piper was just adorable (and gorgeous!). Good to know she’s still working and still doing good shows. ☺️🥰

It had been on my bucket list to work on journals with you, but now I think I'd rather go make pots! Tina, yours and your daughter's pots were both lovely and I agree with the other ladies who say you should go get them. The new rose papers are gorgeous, the pockets are wonderful, and you are terrific! I always look forward to Mass Make Mondays (in California your Mass Makes come on at 5:30 Monday evening). *Always* love our catch-ups!! Hugs dear lady, XOX, MK 🤗❤️🌵❤️🤗 PS, YES PLEASE to working with black again. It's just SO elegant!

If you like Gillian Anderson and Rufus Sewell, you will have to see if you can find the movie "I'll Follow You Down". It also stars Haley Joel Osment from the Sixth Sense. So going movie but you need to watch the whole thing to get the effect at the end. Love the pockets.

As a pottery instructor for decades, I cannot believe you only got one piece of clay!!! When I taught I gave many tries during a limited time and let them choose the best ones. Also as a pottery instructor, you are being way too hard on yourself!!! For a beginner, you did much better than average, especially with only one attempt! From the appearance of your pot, the top is thicker than the middle, which would make the top of your pot want to squish down. Thats why the instructor made you stop. In my opinion, she was lazy. As far as the air bubble excuse, although partially correct, is not the true reason you could not just redo it. The real reason is that the clay would have been way too wet to be effective. 🤦🏼♀️ I'm glad you had fun anyway. My first pottery was just terrible and didn't improve until I learned how to trim the bottoms. ☺️💜
