Straight out this song hits so close to home with the on going struggle with both my mental health and physical health for most of my life. Struggling with being able to lose weight for years and not realising that I struggled with body dymorphia when I was a teenager. When I was skinny and because of television, magazines and society I thought I was fat. As a adult diagnosed with a bone disorder in my knees that meant I had to stop playing anything that i had to run, Jump and kick. Most gym equipment was unable 5o be used and swimming caused me more pain. 6 knee arthroscopic surgeries in 9 years and and a total thyroidectomy in 2015 meant that I now have a slow metabolism and struggled even more to lose weight. And of course 3 and half years ago diagnosed with Osteoarthritis in both my knees and needing a tkr but noone will touch me so of course they just want me to use nsaids and strong opioid to deal with the round clock constant chronic knee pain I am in now struggling with quality of life. I cant lose any weight other than about 7kg no matter what Healthy foods i eat and if I am on a diet. I cant swim, I cant walk up and down stairs at all, I can't ride a bike, I cant even do fun things in outdoors and play with my 5 and 7 year old kids because of my knee pain now causing mobility problems and because i can't seem to lose weight to reduce the stress on knees even a little bit. I wake up almost hourly at night in pain an̈d because of my size I struggle to get sufficient rest. I pretend that I am okay and im not depressed when most days I just feel like giving up and feeling like a failure as a mum and noone truly understands how hard it is for me and think im faking being in pain and don't understand nor care about my medical problems. Its hard when i see other people my age out there living their best lives one person i know just got back from climbing mount Everest..

Sorry for writing a massive comment on your song about my life but just wanted to say thank you for sharing your life story with us all. So many people struggle to talk about their health and their struggle with weight loss. We all have to just try to get up each day and put one foot in front of the other and push on through the dark days and have hope ans and faith that there is light on the other side and what doesn't kill us makes us stronger

One of my new favorites! Damn it's such a relatable song for me. Especially with my current situation. I lost my mom(she sadly overdosed)and grandma last year. Lost both of children's dad's in 2021 and 2018(one was my fiance when he passed from an OD. Our daughter was only 16 DAYS old when he overdosed in our bathroom. It was her first night home since I had given birth), and we lost my dad to suicide in 2019 which was totally UNEXPECTE! I've struggled with drugs for nearly 20 years. I have had years of clean time that I've thrown away in moments of weakness especially after my mom passed in 2023. Lost my home this past April after I could not afford the bills alone. My mom lived with my 2 young kids and I. She decided to help me raise them since their fathers both died. We paid th bills together but since she died in just 1 year I lost our home having absolutely no help. I'm trying to get back on my feet and everyday is a battle staying clean. I feel like I'm in the deep end. The one thing that keeps me going and not quitting is my kids. I'm all they have and vice versa. I pray for brighter days.
