Worms is the very game that introduced me to AH and RT. Worms was the first game my cousins sat down and played with me. They always hogged the controllers and shoo’d me away, as older boys tend to do to little girls, and this was the first game we all played together. I was so happy to play with them that I went home and looked up Worms on KZbin to savor the joy and an Achievement Hunter Let’s Play popped up, so I watched it and laughed my little ass off. I’ve been playing video games and watching these funny boys ever since then! It’s so bittersweet watching it all again now that it’s all ending🥺

Given their older videos have millions of views and the new ones barely get hundreds of thousands, clearly not. This dynamic was really special, but it needed Ray, Michael, Jeff and Gavin. Jack and the cheater groomer were good add-ons (I hate placing those two in the same sentence, sorry Jack), but ultimately their special formula needed those 4. Letting Ray leave instead of catering to his ideas for the channel and letting him stream on his terms might have been the worst mistake of AH.

It's just not for us anymore. It never was going to be when the og crew moved on, changed positions, or were fucking Ryan. At this point, a majority of the og fans are probably gone. The newbies bring humor for a new generation of fans. Sucks for us, but it was bound to happen. There's not an unlimited supply of Ray and Geoffs around to take over.

They came into the scene with not much back in the day, and they took advantage of it. Hard to even keep making the same splash these days. Not sure what you mean about the members. Most KZbin gaming crews I can think of off the top of my head have gone through different "members" due to various circumstances. Even then, most crews are different. RT and AH we're a business back then and even more so now. It's not run the same as most crews where they're all usually individuals with their own channels just collabing. I doubt you'd ever see an og crew thing because it seems like Geoff's let's play days are behind him. I just don't think he wants to do it anymore, and who could blame him at his age? As much as I still love Michael, Gav, and Jack, they're not carrying the ship by themselves. I get your point about what subscribers want, but they can't change the passage of time or what the content creators want to do. I'd agree I don't like new people as much. However I look at it like this. Despite a generation gap between og lads and gents, they had similar personalities. The problem is that you have another generational gap, but the personalities are different. I don't think there's anything that can be done about that because I don't think a lot of people growing up have the kind of personalities they had back then. Hell, I'd make an argument that none of the og crew even have the same personalities they had back then. You might see a spark of the old style when they're all in a room together (new Olympics), but you can still see major differences. Times have changed and they have changed.

@@rockzyk1291 competition isn't the problem the problem is people subscribed because of the content that geoff, Michael, gavin, jack, ryan and ray made. Ray and ryan left but those 4 still are great together. The majority didn't subscribe for some random guys, you can see the views skyrocket with the Olympics video because its with og members. Most youtubers do in fact stay on to make content and don't change the cast. Look at pewdedpie for example still making content, ray has since he left ah and markiplier (excuse my spelling). Geoff has been in some of the new videos. They could also bring in gus since hes got great chemistry with the others too. Their views has fallen so much because they add random people. New generation has nothing to do with anything and in fact is the cause of their lack of views. The age gap between the og crew was already big 10 years between them yet they has millions of views.

OneyPlays, Game Grumps, Funhaus, Best Friends Play, Super Mega, the Creatures, Seananners' crew, etc. Most of them have had people come and go. To your point, views can change accordingly, but they still go through changes so it's not just an AH thing. I'd love to see more Gus, but he must've not wanted to do more since the Last of Gus video is like the only video I can think of with him. Also, I'm splitting hairs at this point, but Ryan did not "leave."

I think a lot of us og people need to get some perspective on current AH. Everyone is so quick to blanket statement how shit they think it is without trying to think about things. 1. For as much as we don't like the new people/humor, I feel like half of the funniest moments in this video (and plenty others) comes from screaming, people fucking up, shit talking each other, etc. Not exactly high brow humor. 2. The content isn't for us anymore. They probably couldn't (and shouldn't) count on the old audience who is approaching or is over 30 to continue watching their stuff forever, so they switched to meet the new algorithms and new audience generation. It always felt inevitable, and I don't blame them for it. 3. Even if they DID want to continue the old ways Rays, Geoffs, and non-piece of shit Ryans don't just grow on trees (where are you gonna find similar people to replace them in this day and age), they'd have to be a little more careful with what they say (they'd occasionally say stuff that people would likely say toed/crossed the line), and even if you had the og crew together today things would still probably different because they're at different places in their lives (I'm sure everyone would point to the new Olympics to tell me that's not true, but do you remember how much Ray was phoning it in before he left). None of them are the same people anymore. I'm not telling you you have to like the new AH. I'm just saying to be decent to them (or at least leave them alone). Let's not continue the tradition of being pieces of shit to people just because you don't think they're funny (Jack in the early days, Jeremy's early days, Mica, Lindsay still to this day, Fiona, etc.). It really is ok to just move on like it's a band you've outgrown.

What Ryan did is nothing worse than what several members of AH or RT have claimed to have done. Geoff admitted to going to parties and stealing shit with gus, gus admitted to several incidents of indecent exposure due to drinking in public, miles luna on social media called for someone to assault the sitting president, Michael on social media was actively declaring the need for an assassination of a sitting president, jack was actively seeking tru p supporters on social media and having his fans false report them to have their accounts banned knowing full well it was unethical and immoral... do I need to continue? Ryan having sex with fans who as far as I know reached out tho him first is nowhere near as bad as theft, encouraging violence and terrorism, and lastly actively harassing people on social media and being a public nuisance. Granted what Ryan did was still very shitty and outright retarded, but I wouldn't say he did anything more unethical than what Michael or Miles did.
