I’m a new massage therapist just a year out of school. I’m frequently questioning my abilities and my value as a therapist but it’s been getting better with time. Your videos have been an invaluable resource and a comforting support for me. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge ❤

I've been watching a lot of KZbin massage technique videos recently, because I've been hired as a masseur at a spa. I wanted to broaden my "toolkit" and your channel has helped me the most. I felt so good to find out that I approach massage with the same mindset that you do so learning new stuff from your videos came easy to me. You helped me feel more confident about practicing on clients and I am getting more compliments, thank you ❤️

You put up this video and I thought this was interesting that I did two silicone cupping massages today at the Doctors office that I work 3 days a week. The first client that I worked on today was someone with scolioses and the other was for SI disfunction. I love that you remind therapist to stay in their scope of practice. I have never used cupping for Lymphatice Drainage massage, that was very interesting. Thank you ❤

The training and insurance must be different in the UK. Cupping is an advanced therapy. We are trained in Fire cupping and silicone cupping. I was trained that you can leave the cups on for up to 10 minutes. The dark circles are signs of congestion.
@MassageTherapeutics9153 ай бұрын
Yes you’re correct 👍

I trained in the US and was taught to leave them on stationary. I've never heard that is beyond our scope. Different instructors teach different things I guess? I always run the cup though. It helps more than stationary cupping in my opinion.
@MassageTherapeutics9153 ай бұрын
@@jenniferb8707 I think it’s different in every state.
@kew92love3 ай бұрын
I was not taught in school that leaving the cups stationary was out of our scope of practice. I have seen and had this done many times by LMTS. I will look into my states laws to see if maybe it’s a state thing.

This is called DYNAMIC Cupping. MFD or myofascial decompression is an excellent technique for dense tissue. It works the opposite of massage as massage "compresses". I don't see the benefits of stationary cupping. Those marks left are indeed bruising and broken capillaries.
@MassageTherapeutics915Ай бұрын
Or it’s vasodilation when there is no bruising.
@donnajoseph6204Ай бұрын
@@MassageTherapeutics915 Thank you. So there is a good reason to apply stationary decompression. Nice!
@MassageTherapeutics915Ай бұрын
@@donnajoseph6204 yes it’s helpful to release fascia & bring more blood flow to the area. I personally don’t park my cups for too long so that it doesn’t leave a mark. 5 minutes max
