The piano is a little heavy on the pedal, but the tempo changes are perfect on this. Because this is my most popular violin accompaniment, and a few people have mentioned how they would like it SLOWER, I did a slower version here: • Massenet Meditation Ac...
Check my list of videos out for a beautiful alternative version of this accompaniment on harp. It would be especially nice if you're playing this on flute.
I want to add that if you missed it, a young Spanish pianist of considerable talent, Jorge Nava, has a piano channel, with several great piano accompaniments for violin.
On my channel I'm now doing original compositions using MuseNet artificial intelligence, and please check them out if you have an interest or curiosity in that sort of thing.
For me, I was a one-trick wonder, finding this old Meditation accompaniment on MIDI and immediately recognizing it as special.

Thank you Cynthia. I like it for the same reason. But it is not me playing the midi accompaniment. I wish it was! I would record lots of violin accompaniments, such as things I'd really like to play, such as the violin and piano version of La Plus que Lente. (I don't know who did this midi accompaniment for Meditation and don't even remember where I got the file.) I bought a decent keyboard intending to record some things but since I'm playing violin and flute off and on, I couldn't get interested in practicing keyboard. For violinists who like playing with accompaniment for sight reading or pleasure, I recommend the KZbin channel "Flute Orchestral Backings & Piano Accompaniments." Some of the French pieces, in particular, are fun to play on the violin. kzbin.infovideos

Good idea. I should have done some kind of visual countdown on it or something. Next time, but there may not be a next time, since I had a little fracas with the copyright police over some of these. I have acquired a decent digital keyboard finally, and want to eventually post some accompaniments, but right now I'm just playing the pieces I like to play, learning some new stuff, and don't particularly want to labor over learning Mozart Sonata accompaniments.

A couple people have said they would like a slower version of this, so I did one here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3umhnmdqrGUe6s It is now six years and some 230,000 views later since I first posted this, and I'd like to tell you the story of it. I posted it because I found this MIDI accompaniment myself and thought it was better than the renditions on Piano Escort channel and a few others I enjoyed playing with, so I wanted to share it with other violin players like myself. I gave up my intention to record the Mozart Piano & Violin Sonatas, piano part only, because, frankly, I lost interest in playing the piano, which was something I last did with any frequency back in the early 1990s. It would be my dream to play the piano like Tiffany Poon, Julia Fischer or Jorge Nava kzbin.info/door/rl8vZ--DPc0N9Q5cM-l4twvideos the latter whose site I'm linking because if you missed it somehow, he's done many wonderful piano accompaniments for violin, the likes of which were not found on KZbin years ago, at least not for free. Anyway, where was I...well, my piano playing is horrible! I wanted to do pieces like the La Plus que Lente transcription so badly, but alas, never did it. And nearly all my other videos with accompaniment for violin range from terrible to sounds like someone sight-reading through the piece. But, something exciting, in just the last two weeks, I feel a convergence of my interest in artificial intelligence, and the availability of the free MuseNet webpage interface to GPT-2 artificial intelligence, and it is awakening my interest in composition. Regarding music composition, I see the computer AI in MuseNet as an extension of human ability to create, because the user has unlimited choices in what measure or music they want to choose. The AI can generate as many alternatives for the "next measure" in a piece as the user wants. I've always been full of creative ideas for composition, dating back to my years in music school, but didn't like the tedious process of writing it down. These MuseNet pieces can be saved in Wave, Mp3 or MIDI formats, and of course, I save them in MIDI because I like working with MIDI and improving the composition. I can change any notes I want, rearrange things, and make cuts. But even if you don't have MIDI software, the interface is a very special experience to use, so simple, but it does so much. And you can save your composition in Mp3, and play it on anything. Unlike other music software, this takes only minutes to learn. I made a video about it entitled How to Use MuseNet AI to Compose Music. So, if you have any interest in AI composition, or know someone who does, please refer them to my channel here, Timzart7, and check out all my recent compositions, and just see the amazing things AI can do, with a little human help. To me, they are much better than what AI produces on its own, although that could change in the near future, because AI is advancing. GPT-4 will be coming out soon, and will be a lot more powerful than GPT-3, which does amazing things in predictive language models. Of my pieces so far, I like Thinking and Dreaming, The Code, and Horsey March and Grand Fantasy. Of the 16 style choices MuseNet offers, I work in the Rachmaninoff style the most, but you can see that in the videos I've done. I want to apologize that I can't offer more accompaniments like the Meditation, but with great young pianists like Jorge Nava, I'm happy to see good pianists taking up the cause, of providing really good accompaniments for violin players. Thank you for all your kind comments over the last 6 years. It makes me feel very good that this one little Mediation accompaniment has brought so many people pleasure.

When I play this at home, I pretend it's like the time I got to play for a famous violinist, only this time I say in a very heavy French accent, "I am going to murder the Massenet Meditation." Try to let go and enjoy it all while playing, down to the last harmonic.

That's a cello piece, I believe? I'm doing violin stuff here and of the ones currently posted, they are just midis I found here and there. I wish I could play the piano well and just whip things out, but I can't. I have a keyboard now and am working on an accompaniment for a Mozart violin sonata, part of a series of them, and plan to do maybe half of the Mozart sonatas, which could take years. The first one should be out by summer, and after that they may come quicker. Put in your request with the PianoEscort site on KZbin. That is the most prolific listing of accompaniments and they do things for cello also.

Sure, do what you like with it. No problem. I don't really understand the complexities of KZbin CR (Urheberrechte) rules, and have gotten shot down by the KZbin CR police when trying to post some MIDI accompaniments to more recent violin works. In a month or two, or maybe in a week or two, I will post a new accompaniment to a hauntingly beautiful old Scottish tune I found buried in a collection of old music. So watch for that.
