My 1st introduction to tractors, mid 70s, a great uncle use to take me out on his MF135 and MF165, he also had MF500 series combine, however I can't remember if his baler (idiot bales) was MF or New Holland, but it did have a "bedstead" to collect 6 bales at a time, grouping them rather than leaving them scattered all over the field Hand stacked, them loaded by front loader onto trailer Your modern machines, not only labour saving, but makes my childhood farm feel like a lego set lol Thanks again Tom Geoff

Tom, as you asked in SE London it is cold and we have had sprinkles of rain. The cloud cover is low and thick, been a bit of a gloomy day all round. Weather in the next 2 hours is forecast to be 16c and rainy. Miss field work, felt like back then I was in a winning team. At work people seem to be gloomy and in need of outdoors not brick and tin walls. I do like the MF. I learnt to drive on a Diesel powered Grey Fergie back in the late 70s. Good days....

6:33 Lots of thrutch!! Loving the 565. Wonder if in 46 years time your grandchildren will be waxing lyrically about the 8 series that Grandad Tom bought many years ago, or whether the computers/GPS/black boxes expiring will have sent it to its grave?

A quick google of weather suggests that your weather is remarkably similar to what I'm getting ATM. 15-17 degrees C, although you're getting more rain than we are. Which is not surprising because you're in England, and it always rains in England 🤣! Greetings from the cold depths of winter in regional Australia!

See the tractors done 7300 hours, has it ever had new a hydraulic pump? Its doing well if its still original. Nice simple air conditioning, we did convert a few 590's to have proper air con. One of the complaints when the 500 series tractors were released is that they were too cold in the winter, drivers had been used to the gearbox keeping them warm on 165 tractors. Never understood why some had numberplates fitted to each side, only ever put one on the back when I was PDI ing them.
