Full video of the 2016 Ferguson Days, held at Denmark Ferguson Museum. In this video we have some special tractors. We a Massey Ferguson 35 Multipower with an double rear axle - and thats why we've called this tractor MF35 "Double Butt". We also have 2 tandem-tractors, the one of them is an MF35 and the other one is a FE35. Then we have some bigger tractors, a Massey Ferguson 1100 and a 1200. Hope you enjoy the video.

Wow. Grew up around Massey Fergusons. My dad was a dealer. Never before have I seen a double tractor. Amazing in simplicity. We sold Oliver too and it was the more popular for Ag use then though.

Ok I get it you started out with two basket cases 35s to get one running. then used what was left over for the rear attachment that can be bolted up NICE!

1100, struggling to turn already worked ground with one bottom too many. And the double 35, like it really makes the power to need the extra traction. Now the tandem 35s pulling a 4 bottom basically eliminated a second operator.

Lived on a farm my entire life. Never seen a tandem tractor like this using the PTO to power a second set of Drive wheels. Looks like no articulation creates a lot of understeer. Really cool!

I have been going through your vids. Enjoyed and have owned Massey when I was younger and will always remember her. I know sounds corny but I am a machine operator and a complete enthusiastic of mostly post 1980,s machines. Keep up good work mate!

4:15 that FE35 with the quad rear wheels is pulling the last two wheels on a hitch.. i feel like its wasted potential because those wheels are connected to a gearbox and you could just connected it to a PTO.. maybe replace the hitch with a proper parallelogram suspension.

I farmed for 45 years and used a plow only once, but I have run a 43 ft cultivator. Do they always plow so fast or were they trying to show off? Was that 130 drill a no-till outfit? It seemed to be working poorly in that loose ground.

I'm not a Massey Ferguson fan even though I got 3 when I bought a farm turn key was only way he would sell. They are showing off plowing or else Massey Ferguson tractors are worse than I thought. No depth, pulling crooked in pre worked ground. The 130 seeder claimed to be no till but they never caught on. Guess you can see why.

That poor old 1100 was wheel slipping badly pulling that 6 bottom plow. If you had have adjusted the hitch properly it would have pulled it better. With our soil here we would pull only 5 bottoms at 4 inches deep.

Did the Massey copy serbian IMT tractors or did the serbians copy massey?Because that 35 is the same as IMT 533 and that 1200 looks like some IMT models to.

Yea back before I have memory my family had two 1100's. They had a five furrow for plowing, not sure of the size. Clearly that soil has been broken sometime recently.

For the f.. sake what is wrong with you ?!?!?! how can you be that stupid!!!! can't you simply imagine that in 50ties and 60ties there was no technology to build powerful 4x4 tractors ?!?!? that's why they start to build tandems in those days to cope with the demand !!!!
@salvadordollyparton666
@salvadordollyparton666 6 жыл бұрын
Ummm, have people REALLY gotten this stupid? Do you not have ANY concept of how tractors work? You DOUBLE the power AND traction, a 4x4 doesn't do that. I mean, a modern tractor of a given weight compared to a 50's model will probably have double the power. But that's just modernized engines, maybe not with all the emissions crap... but 4x4's generally have smaller front tires= less mechanical advantage. Less weight than sticking basically 2/3 of another tractor on the nose= less traction and weight transfer on the draw bar. There was no sell this one and go buy a bigger 4x4, these WERE the 4 wheel drives. Of course, when a single tractor will get the job done, you'd be wasting fuel with one of these. But you waste a lot of time with an extra hand running another tractor, as well. There is a trade off, but it pays big in the right situation. Just may be too "simple" a solution for your massive intelect... now THAT is sarcasm.

Congratulations! you have taken a perfectly good and indeed quite rare tractor ( i.e. a Massey Ferguson 35 with a 4 cylinder spark ignition engine) and completely ruined it.
@davidzook8569
@davidzook8569 6 жыл бұрын
Ford, Farmall, and Ferguson all made double tractor conversions for more horse power and traction before bigger tractors had been built. Not too mention the fact that the entire setup appears to be bolted on and designed to be removed.
@Crewsy
@Crewsy 6 жыл бұрын
No. What they have there are perfectly good and even rarer versions of tractors from the past. To take them apart would be ruining a part of history. One of the best engineers in the world is a farmer in need of something that either isn’t available or something he can’t afford.

Wow, what a dumbass... yeah, im sure he built that recently. And as said, surely done back when it was at least fairly new and probably made it MORE valuable. And he probably has EVERYTHING sitting in a barn to convert it back. These old guys did shit right, not like idiots today. They'd take an extra 5 minutes to keep everything intact where you can just unbolt it and put it back to stock. And hold onto the extra parts, know exactly where they are and stored em properly.

It's like people genuinely don't understand that shit we have today, didn't always exist. And people USED to make/modify things. So when what you could buy, or afford, wouldn't quite do what you needed, you got inventive.
