The rep did a nice speed review. Your reviews are much more detailed and answers more of our "farmer" questions.

Good video of the tractor. I just hope it has the quality of the other Massey tractors we have had on the farms over the years.

I really have my eye on this tractor specially the deluxe model as far as made in China ya that's a tough one but I've been using my JD 6403 made in Mexico since 2005 I don't know just hope these are good and hold up.

Spring Hollow, thank you for this video. I've been eagerly waiting more videos from the new 4700 series. I was wondering if you had a chance to look at the 6700 series much? I read where these 3 global series of tractors are modular in design and construction; basically, they can make them with various features for different markets around the world. I noticed in some countries that the 4700 models have a 4 cylinder engine, instead of the 3 cylinder that we get in the US. That helps keeps the manufacturing costs down. Anyway, I read where they had different modular rear axles. Did you get to notice if the 6700 series had a different rear axle? I've been wondering where the extra weight comes in on the 5700 and 6700 series and thought they might be putting heavier rear axles on them.

Hugh Broome I did see a 5700 and 6700 at the show. Both have 4cyl engine and larger axles. Not sure on 6700 but if I remember correctly they said the rear axle on 5700 was same or similar to axle on 5600/5700SL. The 6700 had cab and was same as on the 4700. Three point lift cylinders were also larger on 5700/6700.

I figured that is where the extra weight came from. I hope these turn out to be good tractors for MF. We've run Fords my entire life; I'm trying to talk my dad into upgrading to something different. We don't like the newer NHs. He wants to stick with what he knows, though.

Hugh Broome why do you guys not like new hollands
@hughbroome28 жыл бұрын
I like the New Hollands; however, my dad and grandfather do not. They think they are not built as heavy or as reliable as the older Fords, like the 30 series, 40 series, or the 10 II series.

Hugh Broome I can see were there thinking that what series of new hollands did they run

I am giving a thumbs up because you and the rep did a good job on the video. Also, it is a feature packed tractor that looks comfortable and useful. I do wonder what the price point will be? But I must say a HUGE negative for me is the fact that it is made in China. Not as much for quality concerns, but mainly because they are a communist country with nearly slave labor that wants global economic and military domination. That being said, I know that the Deere 50xxE series are made in India, a strong non communist, US ally.

I saw a 4707 deluxe 4WD platform with a loader on Tractorhouse at a dealer in GA for about $35,000. I saw another 4707 deluxe 2WD at a dealer in MO for $29k and some change. I think they are price fairly.

I'm sure it's a good tractor, but made in China is a tough pill to swallow.

I think they might be better quality than what MF has been putting on the market. The 3600 series that Carraro made from MF were crap. I heard that they had a lot of electric issues; some dealers even refused to sell them. The 4600 series were built by Iseki for Agco. At least this series uses Agco designed transmissions and rear axles; let's hope they are built well. I read that only the platform models are built in China; the cab models will be built in Beauvais, France with the other MF tractors.

Yeah that's true. The utility range and smaller tractors of all the big brands are a bit questionable. Once you get into that mid-range size like the 5600/5700 series your golden.

No way in hell am I buying a tractor from the red Chinese.
