Massey Ferguson Clutch Calibration-Jumpy Clutch Fix

Man, good on you. I got a new 5711 delivered Friday. The heat would not work, the stop was on and i pulled the hvac control panel out to check cable and it was tight. Tech was coming out so i stopped looking for reason. Started driving it around and stated throwing speed sensor faults. I was very jerky with it, brakes, wheel slippage..the clutch was just a mess and that erratic driving could have glitched the computer. Tech showed up, the heat issue was actually the control cable up top was completely out of bracket..dang Massey..QC? We found sensors the faults were about and would address them later. Couldn’t drive 10’ without those codes kicking. Yesterday using it and no codes would pop up, i then started using the crap out of it, and again today..zero codes. But the clutch was terrible! Couldn’t hook bucket up without lounging wile trying to go slow. Did your calibration and it’s incredible. Actually the best clutch I’ve ever used! Thanks. Curious, is there any other calibrations that should have been done before delivery?

Bummer of a delivery experience but glad you’re getting it lined out. No that’s the only major calibration I’d suggest on that model.

@@prequipmentsales let me ask you, have you seen an issue in the 4700/5700 blowing fuses or burning wires when people use the auxiliary 12v outlets to run sprayers/electric twine arms? I’m talking of the cigarette lighter outlet and the 3 prong power supply. That would run my baler and twine arm. Cigarette lighter will run sprayer for preservative and moisture monitor.

I have a 1759 Massey ,(2017) with a harsh power shuttle engagement, fluid is full in sight glass. Works great , any ideas , don't want to hurt my tractor, This happen all of a sudden, ps( had to replace a transmission cooler leaking) seems after that this took place Looking for info only 1100 hrs

The 1759 is a simpler shuttle system than these larger models. I'd need more info to be of much help. Info like: Has it always been harsh? How does engine RPM affect the issue? Worse cold, hot or doesn't matter?

I got Massey Ferguson 3635 and it’s suddenly moving slow and I parked it, later it’s not moving but starting to engine is good. I replaced hydraulic oil and filter because showing in dash hydraulic low pressure sign. I replaced hydraulic sensor too. Still tractor not moving forward and reverse. Please help me, thanks

thats just calibrating the pot sensor on the pedal? not the modulation of the actual clutch pack? thanks for the video

Correct just the sensor. If you’ve got harsh engagement of the declutch button or shuttle this will not fix it.

It’s a shame. We have had mechanically/hydraulically connected clutches for 100 years that worked amazing with predictable throw and now with the advent of electronics, we have a ridiculously numb-lack-of-feeling engagement. These engineers need to be forced to work with this clutch for three years before they are allowed to design anything ever again.

Yes hydraulically/mechanical clutches have worked for years however without electric over hydraulic you lose some pretty awesome features such as declutch buttons for shifting and brake to neutral in addition to adjustable shuttles. Thanks for watching.

Most of the time. There are other possible culprits but this fixes the majority.

You’re testing my memory on that one. I’m not sure there is a calibration at all for that one. My initial thought is no, but I’ll to remember to ask the service manager next week.
