James, I’m so sorry for the pain of what you must have gone through. We are Choctaw players in Oklahoma and have seen first hand how the losses can add up. We are blessed that we have never played to a point where the losses have impacted our financial security but have experienced the losses none the less. I have followed many slot channel videos of people in Oklahoma that play the VGT’s and I’m always amazed that one minute they are posting videos with wads of cash and playing high limit and then down the road they just disappear. Slot machines have a random number generator in them, certain numbers mean certain results. It is constantly generating numbers, when you hit spin or pull the arm, it uses that random number and displays the result. The machine knew when she spun that the result was going to be the spin, hence the music before the result.

Hi Stacey, I work for a casino and to answer your question, no, the machines cannot tell between free slot play and cash. The machine considers both cash. Also, the newer IGT machines like you were playing tend to have a higher volatility than the older S2000 models that have a max $20k on the spin. The older gives you your money back when you hit all blanks, where the newbies do not. Most of the older games are quickly being pulled from casino floors because parts are very hard to find as these machines are almost 30 years old. Also, Caesars tends to be tight. Very tight. I'll leave it at that. Great hit, though! Many congratulations! Keep an eye out for the older S2000's. Newer isn't necessarily better 🙂 Keep up the good wins!
