Your campaign is going very different than mine. Started out the same, I took out Athens, took out the faction that's at Larissa, took out Macedonia then things took a different path from there. Wasn't able to keep rome out of Greece, 3 turns after they got into Greece they declared war on me. Then a faction In Asia minor I think declared war then 2 different barbarian tribes declared war on me all THEN Knossos declared war on me even though they were very friendly. All of this within 3 turns of rome declaring war. So now I'm being attacked from north, south, east and west. All I can really do is defend. I've managed to hold them all off for about 15 turns so far but I don't think it'll last much longer. Just don't have the money or manpower. So I suspect the next time I get back on,unless I can get some peace treaties, i won't last another 10 turns.

This is exactly what happens to me! But Simpzy gets trade, non aggression and Rome PAY HIM.!!! I just don't understand why?

@@js9534 I'm thinking about trying out that new beta (submod?) Thing that came out not too long ago, it makes the beginning easier but late game harder. Atleast this way I won't get steamrolled before i can even leave greece. Maybe..

@@legioxequestris4202 I normally play with the 20% reduced costs and sometimes play with the Supply Chain removed. It can all be a little overwhelming when everything is pitted against you. I haven't heard of the mod you mentioned though, sounds like a good idea. I like to mess around with a bunch of submods to find the right balance that suits me. Just wish the AI was more interested in diplomacy on Dei

@@js9534 If I'm not mistaking that beta thing gives you a bonus to all factions in the beginning but as your empire grows you suffer negative effects with all factions due to expansion.

@@js9534 am doing an Athens campaign, at first Rome didn't want to hear anything about trade agreements, it's when I captured Apollonia (needs to happen relatively early, did it while Taras was being beseiged by the romans, otherwise the Romans may come flying into greece (historically accurate)) that I had 3 resources for trade (I'm friends with Sparta, hope i can get them into my confederation later) that they would pay a lot for a treaty
