I always think people tend to have their screens too high on the wall. Personally, I'd want it lower, closer to head height, when sitting.

*I've had the Q800T 75" for roughly ½ year now. It's a superb TV. Recently I purchased the Panasonic UB9000 4K UHD Blu-ray Player. I can honestly say that for once I'm thoroughly satisfied with what I have. I still believe that eventually 8K will become the "new" HD standard but for now seeing a true native 4K image leaves me 100% satisfied. For audio I'm using the LG SN11RG Soundbar System.*

2:10 Yes, contractors don't always do what is necessary for all your electronics needs, and they almost never wire a house fully (just the basics). If you are building a home like this with a custom home builder, or even with a basic cookie cutter home builder, get your AV/smart home company involved from the very beginning of the design process. Future proof the home to the best you can right now. If you don't want something in a particular room, wire the room anyways. You might want something 5 years later, and you'll be happy the room is ready for it. The up front cost is way cheaper than tearing up walls and wiring later.

I asked the salesman/realtor why are they still designing homes with the TV over the fireplace or the fireplace in the middle of the wall and the TV nook in the corner. He told me they now sell TV mounts where you can pull down the TV so it swings down in front of the fireplace so you can view it at eye level. Haven't seen it yet but sound like a great idea.

Very nice looking TV wall mounted, however, I don't get why people like their TV up so high. When you're standing up it's fine, but when you're sitting down for long periods of time like watching a movie, your eyes will dry out quickly because you're looking up. Ideally, you want the centre of the screen to be eye level for optimum viewing.

why this TV is hanged so high. When you stand, the top frame of the TV should be almost level with your eyes, Or other way, middle of the tv should be little under your eyes level. when they will seat on the couch, they will bend they neck to watch anything on this new Samsung.

It was fine. Many people have the tv up. There is an entire kitchen behind the seating area too that it can be viewed from.

@@BTheInstaller But I can't imagine the pain of everyday watching from sitting on the couch and looking up.

Looks like more of a multi-use tv to watch while cooking, entertaining guests, etc. I’m guessing they have a more serious setup in a dedicated room for movies.

Main reason is because the contractor place the power outlet very high and the owner did not want them moved and have to repair the venetian plaster so the top of the tv just barley covers the outlets. Otherwise it would have been much lower. I like to get in there before the build but it doesnt always work out that way.

The QN800A is an ADS panel. The QN90A would compare better but your CX would be washed out and dull in that space.

Not ADS panel. It's a VA

I jugot a qn900a, I'm having massive issues with glare streaking, in this video there is lots of natural light and it looks fine, with me, I have one side window in my room that causes the 1/3 of the screen to have a massive glare... Anyone have this or know what the deal is before I return mine? It's a gorgeous TV that I don't want to return, but it makes it really hard to watch unless I have the room dark.
@BTheInstaller2 жыл бұрын
That is a result of the anti-reflective coating. Most Samsung owners say it doesn't bother them. We had some of that too. My A90J picks up lights in the background so we also watch most content in near dark room
