A little doubt about this thank. I think the fish don't be confident. There is not enough hiding places and the angelfish stay all time exposed. The setup is fantastic but i am courios about the angelfish...they spawn and they be healthy for a long time? Sorry this is a question because the thank is all exposed and i breed angelfish for a long time and i know how they are sensitive. In any case compliment for the set up, fantastic. Federico
@JurijsJutjajevs2 жыл бұрын
You are definitely right. The difference here is - I do not intend to breed the fish inside the tank and some plants that will provide opportunities to hide are still growing. In addition a big portion on the surface is covered with floating plants

Jurijs, I just can't stop being awestruck about this build of yours. Truly fabulous. As a beginner to the hobby, I have the follow questions: 1) Since you these Angels grow really big, don't they make the Rummy noses' their food? 2) Same goes for the Amanos. Don't the Angels eat them? 3) This tank's volume is close to 3000 ltrs. Does the water change routine remain the same? As in, if we are doing a weekly 50% water change, we are looking at replacing 1500 ltrs. And that's a lot of water :) I hope you don't mind asking me these questions :) Thak you. 😃
@JurijsJutjajevs Жыл бұрын
Rummy nose should remain safe, but only time will tell if the angels develop a taste for them. Amano shrimps are all gone by now. Expansive snack. But they served the purpose and I’ve learned a lesson. Ester change routine looks as following: 500GPD RO unit is turned on every hour, and is adding 333 liters per day, there is a build in overflow, so the water amount inside the system remains the same. This makes a total amount of 2100 liters fresh water added per week. But on hourly basis in small quantities, constantly diluting the old water. At the same time minerals are added daily to keep KH/GH parameters stable. This tank is constantly at 125tds

Man that is an impressive set up! Well done! All of that automation sounds fantastic, and it'll interesting to see how the aquarium does and what, if any, cleaning/maintenance it needs over the next few years. A tank like this would be amazing with Comet Goldfish, because it could keep up with the amount of waste they produce. In turn, they would really be healthy, active, large, and gorgeous! Plus, they are so interactive with the family that owns them, it makes for an even more interesting aquarium experience.
