Here's a few tips that you can use: (like so he sees) SHORTCUT KEYS: They are very nice to have and use. You can see some shortcuts by selecting a unit or few and when you look down in the bottom right corner of you're menu, you can find some actions that unit can do -press h for hold: This command allows the selected units to not move but still attack when the enemy comes in range -press s for stand: This command cancels the selected units previous commands, and return to normal. Moving the units will also cancel the commands as well. -press g for garrison: This command will allow you to garrison selected units. Not all you're units. Very useful. -press space to select all attacking units. Also very useful. You're gonna want to take and hold the middle for a long time as that will generate gold for you over time and with the right upgrades, weaken the enemy with practically no cost what so ever. Hope you find this useful.

If you research the shonobi in the sword station of the castle, you can cloak the shadowwrath whiletheyre selected in the bottom right for 20 gold per, they cloak for about 5 seconds, while cloaked, they poison and can't be seen It's basically impossible to kill the magikill without using a lot of shinobi. Like so he can see :)

You should click on defend button again after attacking or after your troops have defended against the enemies it makes them in a nice formation. And no need to get so much Mana out don't have high Mana required troops and resources yet.

my recommendations for these types of games would be: age of war 1-3 (third one is called something slightly different): similar to this type of game but more simplistic. epic war 1-5:takes on a more fantasy style version of this with hobbits, elves, goblins, etc. relic of war: set in world war 2 and takes a top down look to this type of game but similar goal send troops destroy the enemy base, but now you can capture buildings along the way which allows you to have more units. warlords series: similar in the fact that you send units after each other, but now you have to take over the enemy side by getting troops over to their side without letting them die. necronator(i recommend the first one over the second one, but that's just because the second one is a little wonky in the way the units move around automatically): is also a top perspective but now you're a necromancer who's trying to take over the all the lands using skeletons, zombie, etc.

You can control one or more units by highlighting or clicking units and some controls will appear in the bottom-right corner which you can use to garrison, un-garrison, cancel current action, and hold position.

I haven't played this game before but I think it would be a good idea to Garrison your troops before you attack it looks like it organizes them spiritans in the front soaking up damage like you would want the sword of Wrath behind them to deal out damage on the front lines in and in the back you have the Archers to deal out range damage

Advice: it's good to invest in any of the upgrades of course, but what you'll really want to do is get both the miner hustle, and cure. As to why, well cure will let your merics automatically heal the poison on your troops like you saw in legacy, which is fairly useful right for the nija's, but will become a key upgrade for when you get into the late game( I won't spoil it.). miner hustle is good for doubling your economy, as it makes your miner twice as fast, effectively doubling their output. A really good strategy is to have one spearton go out and use the sheild wall ability, but this is mainly just used for the online version, so it is better to just have the lot of them to form a wall. hope this helps.

Baron, select the units that are poisoned/injured to the garrison(when you select some options comes from the bottom right corner) and they'll get healed in a few seconds. The abilities you buy/unlock can only be used from the garrison(bottom right corner when you click the gates) and you can't use those abilities that you haven't bought/unlocked yet.

I have some advice but first wow that was easier than I remember I think it's because the first I played and faced the ShadowWrath I was on hard difficulty and I think the AI just got derpy on you for that mission but don't let that fool you the ShadowWrath are still really good, in the next mission I believe you'll face ranged and healing units along with low level melee units you should use mostly archers and either a mixed group of all melee units that you've gotten so far or a lot of ShadowWrath because their really good at getting close to ranged units and are really good against basic to mid melee units, but even on hard difficulty that level was easy to beat I think as long as you stay on your toes and are ready for anything then you should be good to go. Oh and you were asking for other games like this and there are three big ones that you'll like Age of War 1 & 2 and Army of ages all of those are awesome and are a lot like Swarm Queen, it's thanks to Killer Shadow in the comment section for reminding me what the name of those games was I completely forget. Great video Baron and can't wait for the next one.

Baron... please learn bow to micro manage and use the hotkeys... else you won't be able to beat the game. If i recall right, they provides with a help list... But here is a few basic once. G, H and space bar... garrison selected units, tell selected ubits to hold ground... and select all. All available abilities and commands is down to the right, with their hotkeys informed. One more thing, you can you can use 1-9 fir shortcuts to train units, opposing of what you though, this is more than just a mouse clicking game.
