I’m watching Prison Break, and the scene where the prisoners reflect on their thoughts and expectations before their escape has become so special to me. The way the song lights up that moment-it’s pure magic! It humanizes everything, making it impossible not to connect with the characters. It’s funny how this show was such a hit during my teenage years, and now, almost at 40, I’m finally watching it. Thank you, Massive Attack! Your music is truly something special.

I remember when this hit the shelves. Me & my mates liked the cover & so bought a copy at HMV, Southend on Sea, UK. We went straight to East beach to have a listen & blaze a jay. On the way we had the black track "Angel", which already had us curious. We parked, sparked up, & then this BOMBSHELL happened. We were totally stunned. Never in a million years could we predict this incredible haunting sound. We looked at each other in amazement. Not a word was spoken. We just sat there.. in the burning sun beaming through the windscreen of the car with all doors open, polarized by this odd & inimitable song. Then people started jogging over.. almost begging us to tell them... "What is that track?" They would text each other the name of the album (phones were primitive back then!!) & then they were racing down to the stores to grab a copy. Good music used to be a drug back in the 90's because you didn't have You Tube. If you missed that title.. you may never hear it again. We knew then that the generic shit we were listening before would sound totally inferior by comparison.

I stumbled upon this on “A discovery of witches”. Really good quote & songs in the show. Grief carves a place in the heart and sits there forever but when focused it can be a powerful motivator. Sadness becomes resolve and pain becomes action! “Fear is an illness. If you catch it and you leave it untreated, it can consume you. You face it. Facing your fear is not easy. ❤ “Nobody smart plays fair.” “It’s hard to regret something you didn’t choose.”

Massive Attack are trying to tell us what love is. The beat of the song perfectly represents the fragility of such an ethereal concept as love. It is fragile like the crystal of a teardrop, yet powerful like a droplet falling into a fire. Love is a doing word.

I adore Liz Fraser's voice but this collaboration with Massive Attack is without doubt among her finest, its serenity and the purity of her voice makes me have tingles all through my body.
