The reason why the empire didn’t have air support is a star destroyer jumped to close and they were in sensor range of the rebel base so they had to invade earlier then they planned which that time just happened to be very harsh weather conditions which made so that the tie fighters could not be in the battle

@@thecheeselord5943 The Ion Canon would not do anything to the air support/small units the Ion Canon was made for bigger targets the air support could easily dodge the shots from the Canon

It was mostly the shield generator, because faster moving objects can not penetrate the shield, but the slower dropships that brought in the ground forces could. For an example of this, watch the Star Wars: The Clone Wars in season 5 when the Onderon rebels are learning how to destroy droidekas.

Tallyolly_111 Yes but it would stun a star destroyer and would not allow any imperial air support to help, also the tie fighters and such would be trying to stop rebel transports.

Storm troopers are extremely good at range combat some of the best. They are the elite forces of the empire. Here is an example of why they miss in one of the scenes Luke and his friends were escaping the storm troopers in their ship(I don’t know how to spell the name of the ship 😢) and the storm troopers miss every shot on the characters but they were told to aim for the ship not the characters and they did as they were told

It is literally a limitless sandbox in which you can make anything - as this video proves - and as time goes on the game is getting more and more polished because the developer is a fantastic guy who does not sleep in his quest to turn it into something really special. 6:25 the rebels had a energy shield that avoiede not only orbital atacks, they could repeal the passing of air vehicles. So the empire had to send land vehicles that can resist multiple shots, they sent the AT AT. That's why there weren't any empirical air supor before the AT AT destroyed the shiel generator, that did let the shuttle with lord Vader and more snow troopers arrive.

The reason why there was no fighter support was because of shield generator the rebels had, so the only thing that could get inside the shield were slow moving objects. Anything fast would blow up on contact

Stormtroopers are actually pretty accurate. For example in ep IV the average stormtrooper killed one enemy with 76 shots in comparison to the average US Marine gets a hit with one in fourhundred-something shots. So stormtroopers are overhumanly accurate.

The empire had no air support or from atmosphere artillery because of the shield generator that’s why the first part of the mission was focused on destroying the generator before storming the base they couldn’t just shoot through the shield if they could they would have just blew the base into oblivion as soon as they arrived.
