In my opinion, the 530LXF is the nicest of the large center consoles. Quality is top notch and the layout is the best of the group. Especially the interior - the 530LXF is the only large center console where the interior looks like it was more than an afterthought in the design of the boat.

I actually live in Summerville, drive by scout boats every day on my way to work. Every once in a while I get to see a 530 gettin ready to be shipped.

Alfred you did an excellent interview with Josh of Scout Boats. I have to say that Scout outdid themselves on the quality and comfort level here for a center console sport fishing boat! They hit it out of the park!

I live in the Old Pueblo now where it's 1.5 hrs to a toilet bowl lake. I too grew up with a pier in the water and my boat in the slip most of the year. Snowmobiles, Ice fishing, lake Michigan was also my playground. Parents had a 2nd home 30' from the shore in Door County. When people here say they love the desert, I just laugh. Boat on my truck in Milwaukee most the year as an adult and dog n shotgun in the truck the remainder of the year.

@@EnSpadeErEnSpade Are those really the numbers? Only Mercury could come out with such shit fuel economy, we did better than this in the mid 90s with Yamaha and Johnson. Perhaps these things are really 525 or 550 hp?

I'm not a center console kind of guy. I'm actually kind of sick of the trend. This boat blew me away, though. This is my new fantasy day/sport boat. Scout absolutely killed it with this. Sooo much nicer and so much more complete than that Cigarette Tyrannosaurus-thing you featured a few days back. What's this cost? $2M+? I was floored by the Cigarette's price of $3M+. That's just plain stoopid. But, I still don't get this zillion outboard thing, like a string of testicles strewn across the transom for everyone to gawk at. How are 5 outboards better in any sense than 2 big diesels on a boat like this? Great video, though. Keep 'em coming.

Could never figure out why not two powerful onboards. The amount transom needed on these boats, give it another 2' and you can fit two or even 3 inboards. With a bit of soundproofing in it'll be quieter than all those outboards, less parts to maintain, less fuel, more power and cheaper yk

Just curious, why go through the trouble and expense to make the boat out of carbon fiber, then use onyx, heavy countertops and various other heavier than necessary equipment? The fuel numbers are sh!t, that might be one of the reasons?

An experienced owner would be fine. With all the gadgets it would be easy, especially skyhook. If I owned it I wouldn't hesitate to take it on a trip solo. However if I had in I can see paying the occasional captain to do take over duties while I drink and fish with friends.
