I love how they refuse to address the fact that nerfing the Gen stall perks and then buffing both sabo and gen repair it's just going to lead to almost 90% of the killers slugging survivors. survivors already hate this it's like behavior doesn't even care to play their own game.

What people need to realize is that this chapter is built on timing. Ending fly at the right time to body block after flying though a vault. Using mage hand at the same time a survivor to negate the slowdown and get a free hit. Using Skellies so they hit the survivor while they vault. He’s a difficult, timing based killer and the dbd community just sucks so bad they can’t figure that out.

Dark arrogance still feels like a bad perk. In my opinion a good perk should work well enough on it's own, not to be forced to synergise and to be brought along with Bambozzle. For 10% more than Bamboozle you not only receive no extra benefit but it makes chases way worse. For vault builds sure it's fine and the devs maybe even thought of it that way but it should work on it's own too as a viable option

The Infection rate reset to 1% on hook is fantastic and great to counter the infection rate addon wit hthe Tunneling but they should NOT touch the slowdown on max infection...

They already said this is NOT happening. Stranger Things and D&D are 2 different licenses. They have also said that the D&D Chapter does not mean we won’t get ST Vecna in the future.

Perspective from a game developer: The most hated tactics on both sides are when the opposing side aggressively works their objective without “playing”. I mean survivors doing gen simulator and killers wearing tunnel vision glasses carrying a camping kit. Everything that has been complained about is fixable with a core loop rework (gameplay loop not pallet loop) that mixes primary goals that foster greater interaction. They kinda got the hint and added the modifiers but those are basically a poorly disguised live-server-public-test-build where they test new features across all the main hardware instead of just PC in preparation for possible permanent game modes or modifiers for those. Lastly the bots they implemented essentially mark the game as casual, allowing substitution via bot to happen but if you disconnect, only your team gets that casual treatment while the disconnector is given competitive mode treatment with an escalating lockout. TL;DR - they gotta fix the core gameplay and decide if their main mode is casual or competitive, THEN they’ll see a resurgence.

I think sabotaging hooks would need a major rework to be more beneficial than just using the toolbox on generators. Maybe something like it permanently disables the hook, or the hook has a ten minute respawn. That would get into the range of being worth it. But in all likelihood they would just nuke the toolboxes on generators. Anyone remember when one tool box could do a whole generator?

@@patimat3776 Yeah, not saying it's good. Just that something of that level would be needed to make sabotaging more advantageous than using the toolbox for a generator. Because if you're bringing a toolbox in for sabotaging you have to be in just the right spot, at just the right time. When you could be finishing a generator faster instead. I'd totally use up a toolbox to take down a hook in a strategic spot if I knew it would stay down for most of the game. But I'm not a dev so I don't know what would work best for the game. I'm just trying to communicate what my threshold is for it to be worth it to sabotage vs repair a generator.
