I am also a maximalist. I own so many things that bring me joy. That is great, but also overwhelming. With clothes that means hidden/forgotten gems. That's the nice thing about closet "clean-outs", is finding lost/neglected pieces. Dust bags are so good for shoes, and bags, but would be SO much better if we could see the items.

I used the plastic bins and put them at the top of my closet. They’re organized by item type (such as holiday, silk slips for summer). Hope that helps!

Since we have forced air heat, my shoe and bag collection gets really dusty really fast. I'm always mind blown Joe often I Swiffer them lol😂 Also, downy refresh is my go to when traveling light to avoid washing clothes. It comes in travel size. Spray down at night,especially the underarms of clothes, and its super fresh in am plus is a wrinkle remover! And its scent is gone in the morning too, which I love as I'm sensitive to perfume. Loved seeing your wardrobe clean up a d refresh😊 Also, attach a hang tag to each purse dust bag so you can just read the tag before pulling random things down. -theresa ❤

Hear me out! I was thinking you could take everything out of your closet that you never plan on wearing but what to keep. Put that aside and arrange your closet around all the things you will actually wear or want to wear and then set aside a small section in your closet that’s just for admiring/storing those items. That way it’s not all mixed in. That’s part of the reason you feel overwhelmed. 🫶🏽
