A million dollar project to install our largest 5-Axis CNC machine CNC10 - "Jonah" in August 2015.
Machine Details:
CMS MX-5 5-Axis Machining center (Carbon and Glass Composites, Aluminium, Timber, Plastic products.)
X Travel 10500mm
Y Travel 3800mm
Z Travel 2000m (2450mm Max part height)
Simultaneous 5-axis motion. Renishaw probe. Fanuc 31-ia high speed control. Precision machined epoxy floor with bolt down grid.
5-Axis Polystyrene hot-wire bow attachment 1240x600mm To process 6000x1200x600mm polystyrene blocks.

What a monster machine!! May I ask, how did you align the rails parallel to one another? And how do you make sure the entire thing moves square in all axis and isn't warped, over such great distances? Thanks
