Simply amazing video you got here I like the camera work it's amazing they didn't break any Knuckles on that coal train With the bridge going up I was expecting The Blues Brothers in an old Fairmount inspection vertical to jump the bridge nice detail shot of the gears just like The Blues Brothers film

That’s actually N013. I know that because of the bottom of the hoppers. That don’t have have those type of cars at Orlando Utilities.

Fascinating sequences, especially the close-up of the bridge workings! Lift span appears to have been orig. double track now singled? Will be in that area this weekend on rail business and will have to check it out in person! Great job-thanks for posting!

Hello. Seems a bit too narrow when seen on Google Maps ("satellite" imagery) to ever have been double track; but I really don't know myself. I think they really just needed some beefy width for stability and access. Two trains at the same time may also have been a bit of strain for the footings; at least as they currently look.

Good points. The more I look, though, the single track approaches may be newer than the lift span so still maybe a singled span...? This is gonna need a little more research, hopefully some in person the next week, (what keeps things interesting)!

This CSX line runs near my home about 20 miles south of here. I cross it everyday. This is the line that serves the Amtrak auto train in Sanford, and into Orlando. Those coal hopper are either going to Orlando, or the power plant at Palatka 40 miles south.

Gonna be down this way on RR matters this next week and, among other things, wondering if this bridge might have orig been double track (track on lift span spacing and single approaches newer than the lift)? Looks like I might have to tear away from FEC a little bit anyway!
