Definitely getting there. Excited to try the new base building. We need a better way to light the bases. Torches or string lights would be cool. And then we need weather. I want to sit in my base by a fire, turn up the background music(which is great btw) and watch it rain/snow outside.

Dude, this is awesome. I haven’t had any time to play or stay in then w/ games for the last couple of years but when I did I always tried to check in… was awesome seeing you move from covering the game to really getting your hands in when you were offered a part in the team. I reckon when this update is released, there will be a huge spike in population and rightfully so. Deadside is on track to becoming the perfect survival game imo, and this update only reinforces my belief of that. It's got a long way to go still but the team are small tbf and when they deliver, they definitely hit the mark. Slow n steady wins the race :D I agree more videos in general will do wonders for the growth of the game though. Cannot wait for the launch!

i think about that constantly all the factions and breakdowns but then its multiplayer with a mix of pve pvp mutants labs missions to find artifacts or clear underground labs or pois the amount of stuff you can pull also from stalcraft as well base building in the zone would be so fun if its anywhere

I'd like to see some form of lighting in the base. Since they're introducing generators it would make sense that we could build lights. Even if its just a single bulb. Yeah yeah I know we have handheld flashlights and flashlights on our weapons and we can build a fire but it'd still be a nice addition.

I suggested this on discord but they should add a fourth option to work in conjunction with the third base raiding setting: Have a system similar to the raid token system where upon player death to pvp there is a percent chance that their bases void raid protection. Have it last about an hour, and their base becomes visible on the map to other players or at least the one who killed them.

This is a better change as these were the issues I had. The raiding factor was where I decided I was not going to continue. I hated the popping of the raid token showed your base area so they can just easily find you and will invite several teams to the location.

Few questions: Are you able to save boats if you build next to the water and park them on the shore within the storage radius? Any improvements on building locations? Sometimes it felt difficult to build because you could run for a considerable amount of time and the land claim wouldn't be allowed to be placed, even though you would seemingly be following the guidelines. Also, does this mean land claims are gone? How does the new system work land wise? Are we still bound to a radius that spawns once the first building is placed?

Great to see some new content coming, hopefully this year. Also hopefully we'll see the convoys spawn in more of the expanded map now, and varied missions at these new POIs. Will a base built by the water stop your boat despawning aswell? You mention there's been much inspiration taken from Rust. It would also benefit the devs to look at what Gamepires are doing with Scum...

The airfield has a lot of open space. Don't know if that's designed on purpose or not due to the high value loot. It would be cool to see you guys implement a boss there. Build up some lore around the airfield where a guy fortified the airfield with trenches and barricades. Almost turned into a fortress of sorts and horded the fuel. He could have a special skinned car or motorbike. It shouldn't be a mission. He should random spawn down there. Would be cool to see a similar thing up north at the military base and the base on the islands. Awesome stuff!

i love this update that's to come but you need to change the offline raid part of it please. I play Deadside because of the fact you cannot be offline raided and I'm sure a lot of people agree with me on that? I'll play the new update but I feel like after I spend hours building a new base go to work and come back to have nothing. I'm not going to sit there for another few hours re-making it. It's the reason a lot of us don't play rust. Your audience is for definitely attracting more older players (people with jobs) now we will just have sweaty teens taking over servers

I just bought the game and I really enjoy the features. I understand it’s a work in progress. In the future I think it would be nice to have more buildings to loot and different kinds of buildings and added loot able items. Like more different kinds of lootable items would be awesome. Even adding books we can read shorts of and letters found from previous inhabitants. A survival on and off option would be nice. Where you have to keep warm at night and early morning.

Every time i think about jumping on i see one of these videos and it stops me, Town Spawns removed, 15 Sleeping bags, SCRAP system restricting the traders further and that's what's driving new players away, The loot is now been made garbage in a massive section of the map, u never cease to amaze me with the stuff you keep adding that nobody wants, go back to about 6 months after release

Some new changes really are bad though, like the village spawns.. Maybe it wouldve been good if we could place sleeping bags inside villages like before, also removing respawn beacons is so dumb. It was great to have them around as the whole team could use them I feel like every update, the game slowly becomes worse than it was

The ingame music should have been dynamic: more tense at pvp and more ambient when it's calm. And the rhythm might have been just like OST in the french spy series "Le Bureau des Légendes".

Depends what you are looking for tbh, both games provide pretty different experiences. DayZ is much slower paced, more hardcore, and more punishing. Deadside is more casual, faster paced, and more PvP oriented Honestly both games are great and I would recommend trying both if you can (grab the DayZ standalone launcher for modded servers, it's free and worth the trouble)

Yeah good question, I realized after uploading this video that I skipped over storage completely, I'll have to make a follow-up video on that, since there is a lot to cover. I know you can place a lot more storage crates now though, and you can upgrade and lock crates. I'll be doing lots of testing this week to get more detailed info for you guys

desperately this game needs dynamic weather rain fog overcast bright and sunny haze etc some various biome changes to the map would also help a lot when you run across the entire map and its just kinda same same minus a few really sick spots near the military bunkers and swampy section just eventually dialing that in leads to more exploration and more dynamic bases and animals. love playing this game youre right on rep and burning out we need some more low tier and mid tier guns revolvers lever actions more bolt actions helping the low and mid tier guns more variety will also help not feeling stuck low tier as well when theres a bunch of fun options. need to have a 1873 Single action army, schofield, lemat, some double actions like the s&w model 29, 500, then levers you got the 1866, the 1873, more modern versions as well like the henry all weather, some of those and many others from around the world would lend itself well to deadside even bows long, horsebow and compounds or crossbows, eventually with weather implementation we can get more into warmth cold food etc

Would be kind of cool to have blow torches and scrappable nodes such as the jets, for surplus amounts that people would need to haul away on trailers towed by the jeep. That would make for all kinds of hotspot confrontation and team effort to achieve top dollar. A guy can dream right lol.

This game could be infinitely better than rust imo. Rust is just diet DayZ. Deadside movement and gunplay is much smoother and better looking. Also I prefer the look and themes more. It has enough of its own identity. Everything draws inspiration from everything anymore, and that's not a bad thing necessarily.

100 players would not be too many players, this map is way too big for 50 player max. Please add a bigger player cap for more PvP and intensity. I don't want to be looking at my phone while auto running or riding shotgun in a vehicle.

Good video, looking forward to this new update. The little things im hoping for one day is for NPCs to talk. Its a little weird that they dont yell or talk in and out of combat. Also this game really needs a weather system. Fog, rain, overcast, just some variety to each day. Other than that I wish good things for this game. Does the comfort level give anyone defending there base enough of a boost to have an impact against raiders? That would be kind of cool because it leaves the raiders guessing and not knowing (Because they dont know what comfort items you have in your base), also seems it would inspire more of a coordinated effort to achieve the objective against the target. I could see the comfort level playing a significant role in raid dynamics. I guess the problem would be the buff would need to know how many attackers are present to make proper adjustments so its not to strong OR to weak for the defender.

yea but with the player count i think ppl want to be able to find pvp in more places, its nice to be able to have a base in one area and be able to consistently have competition which is only really a thing now if u live near bunker or harbor, also more ppl would slow progression and make rivalries more common and just add to everything, i think more ppl would make places like tents and radio tower mil base more contested and just allow ppl to pvp in areas that arent frequented, also even with a bigger map ppl prolly still wont wanna travel that far

@@psychotom2000 Nah bro, dog tags would be way more grindy than scrap metal which you will be able to find all over the place. You'd have to grind out missions all day for the same amount of scrap that you could loot in just a few hours. And we already use dog tags for the bus. I like it, it makes sense in a survival game and gives us a sense of progression, which makes the game more of a game. I hardly buy anything at the traders anyway, only sniper rounds before a mission if I haven't looted enough already

I don't know, not putting emphasis on bases just makes the whole raiding/building system and what I would work towards while playing feel... shallow? Like i play survival sandboxes to gather supplies to expand my base, if i'm not trying to protect my most valuable things in it, what's the point of even working on it? Imo, the safe zone storage should be minimal to the extreme, just enough to make a comeback a bit easier, but that's just me.

All types! So Motorbikes, and both boat types can also be stored long term. And same here, I've always thought vehicles were cool and useful as just transport, but actually being able to store them, and fight over them, leads to that sweet sweet emergent gameplay that I have been chasing

Cheaters will always exist unfortunately, but we have admin tools on community servers now, so its a lot easier for us to catch them. I actually just banned a cheater last night by using the invisibility mode. We have also switched to battleye, which seems to be doing a good job
