Sam's club is owned by walmart, so it might be worth diversifying and keeping the Costco membership since you shop at walmart a lot. Also if you get the costco credit card then the rewards just from shopping at costco pay for the membership.

🌞As far as going lighter with the wood floor, my understanding is as long as some of the tones in the wood are similar and match, it'll probably go together. I have many different wood types in my home and they all work. I wouldn't go for grey or super light stains, though. I'm sure what you choose will be lovely. You have great taste. ☺️

Love watching your cleaning videos! really helps me to get going since I have an autoimmune disease and it's not easy for me. I noticed when you clean your microwave you used dawn spray. Have you ever tried heating mug of water for 2 minutes in there and let it sit a couple minutes? It works great! So easy to clean. Thought I'd share that little trick!

Thanks so much for another motivating video! My splash guard in my sink does not come out. So I put gloves on and get my sprayer down under it. Then I use my Rubbermaid power scrubber with Dawn power wash. Gets it squeaky clean. Have a wonderful weekend! ☀️

Don't know if this will be helpful, but I put small, round furniture sliders under my refrigerator feet and I leave them there. It helps me easily pull out my frig to clean behind it and not scratch my floors. I clean back there every 3 months and I'm able to move the frig by myself with no problem. I also did this under my washer and dryer so I can easily move them as well. It has saved my back and my floors.

Love your video! My recommendation for floors is if you are worried about going too light then maybe try 2 shades lighter than what you have. Also a luxury vinyl won't scratch- I highly recommend- we have that and our black lab can run/scratch whatever and the floors do not scratch. I am careful moving heavy furniture and use pads under the legs

I love your house, the colors and layout are beautiful! As for the floors, We have a lot of light wood in our house, including floors, trim, cabinets, and even some tongue & groove, and we have black hardware and oil rubbed bronze fixtures and the contrast gives it more dimension, we love it. I’ve been wanting to switch out some of the fixtures for black even. We’re just starting a kitchen remodel, the cabinets are being made custom to fit in our round house, and I’m debating what color faucet to go with - black or brushed nickel. Cherry cabinets, black hardware, soapstone counter, Calcutta backsplash, stainless sink. Thoughts anyone?

Thanks for the cabinet cleaning tip! I think going lighter floors is a good idea! If you have a lumber liquidators order (lots) of samples to get a feel for the floor. We've been going back and forth for months and this this is the hardest choice since it's such a permanent choice. I was once told you need to pick a floor like blue jeans...it should go with about everything 😊

We pulled up (almost) all the carpet in our house and put hardwood down ourselves. Saved a lot of money doing it ourselves. We have light flooring in our living room and everything else is dark. I much prefer the dark. We are going to redo our living room sometime soon. We have dark ceiling fans in the living room and it clashes a little with the floor. We have had a Sam’s membership for a few years now. We get our can drinks there. They are cheaper there than Walmart. We also buy the big boxes of little bags of chips. Helps with portion control and no bags of chips going stale anymore.

🌞with your floors look for one that has both dark and light in it. We had a similar issue when we bought our current home and now we have floors that will work with any wood tile so we can change whatever and not worry about, plus it helped pull the wood work in the house together with our furniture.

I tried the Tide and Cedar mop method and I found that it left residue on my cabinets (they are also darker color) and for the cabinets above the stove where it gets really greasy, the grease did not come out :( what am I doing wrong???
