For anyone who doesn't know, in 1944, the Polish people rose up in the Polish capital of Warsaw against their N*zi occupiers. Across the Vistula river, which Warsaw sits on, the Soviet Red Army stopped, and watched as the N*zis massacred the Polish Resistance. The Soviet's official excuse was that they were out of fuel and ammo so they couldn't help the Polish resistance, however it is much more likely that the USSR didn't want to have to deal with the same Polish resistance when they installed their own Communist puppets in Poland.

The decision was taken by the commander-in-chief of the Home Army, who based his order on erroneous information (or better said - rumours) that Soviet tanks were in the streets of Praga (the right-bank district of Warsaw), which wasn't true. In other words, the decision to attack the Germans was based on the false assumption that they were leaving the city. They were not. To the contrary, they were actively counterattacking the Soviet forces approaching Warsaw from the southeast. Exactly when the uprising broke out. Btw, many civilians were close to starving indeed, but late during the uprising, not before it.

In the "W" hour, all or at least many of the Poles all over Poland light candles in their homes, joining with Warsaw residents commemorating the day of the uprising. With the sounds of sirens commemorating the beginning of the Warsaw Uprising, we pay tribute to the youngest, young and all residents of Warsaw who fell in 1944 (did not die but were killed in combat) for the freedom of Warsaw and our Country. Honor and glory to the heroes of the Warsaw Uprising, especially the several-year-old and teenage couriers who took part in the Uprising and the nurses protecting the lives of the wounded insurgents. There was no more damaged City in the history of World War II (WWII). Everyone is peacefully celebrating this moment today. The sounds of sirens and the glow of flares are only 40 sec. up to one minute. Everyone stands silently and motionless, remembering this moment. Nobody is making any riots and let this message go to the world. We celebrate our civil and democratic freedom. On that day and the next, there were concerts of Warsaw war songs, the so-called "forbidden songs". It is unlikely that this would have happened in the years of communism. The police (then Militia - MO) would not stand as calmly as our Police nowadays. Yes, we can do it. Yes we have democracy. Yes, we can still be patriots. It is amazing nowdays, isn't?

Warsaw uprising was done to welcome soviet army as people in charge. That is why soviets stopped and did not help, letting Warsaw to bleed and perish. Poles fought on many european fronts, but we were sold in Yalta to become soviet slaves for another 50 years.

Unfortunately, the PO party is one of the biggest problems. The Germans politicians (in Berlin and Brussell) are supporting Tusk because he is their man. Germany wants to control Poland and make sure that country would be politically divided and would not grow a strong economy.
