A variation which might be fun: Send all but one person outside where they can’t see in. The one person hides. Then everyone else looks for that person and as each person finds the hiding person and remain hidden. As it gets more crowded it gets more fun because it is harder to remain quiet. I think it would be fun to see your family play a giant game of musical chairs too.

We do this version too with my family of 9 kids with spouses and grandkids involved. We do it in a large cabin, except we turn off all the lights in the cabin. Thats creepy because one moment someone is with you then the next moment theyre gone and you don't know where they hid!

Such a fun way to enjoy family time and well the moneys just fun!! 😂 we will be playing and doing it outside cause our homes too small with a spiny wheel but with different benefits, such as staying up late, movie night, dinner out and two money ones which $5 and $10. I really love this family. I love how despite the fact that some kids got $5 and some got $100 that none of them complained or seemed mad. They were all just so happy and appreciative with what they got. You are raising these children right.

I LOVE that Kylie is around so much more now that you guys are so much closer. Same with Cody. I have 3 siblings and I’m soo much younger than them. I’m 16, 14, and 12 years apart from them. So idk but seeing them around reminds me of me & my siblings and being that close to them even with such a huge age gap. Plus they have the greatest personalities ❤️

Cody’s hiding place the last time was genius 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 which we had something like that when I was growing up. But when we lived in Ky. my sisters and I and about 3 other neighborhood kids would play block hide and seek. Hiding in peoples basements fun times in the late 60’s early 70’s.

I would have hid behind the couch that’s the “safe spot”. There’s no real rule where u can’t hide.

Another version of sardines is you have have everyone pair up and depending on how many pairs you have determines how many pairs go hide and the rest of the pairs try to find that one pair. Once another pair has found the original pair they stay and hide with them. The object is to see how long it takes before everyone is found together. The winner is the first pair to find the original paie .the next round the team that won or who was last to find The who group bidding is the ones who hide the next round and so foeth. The main object is to find a good bidding spot so that it takes awhile to be found and big enough to hide the rest of the group. This version is also played in the dark or very dim lite area. I have played this at my church and we have gone as far as putting black trash bags temporarily over the neon exit signs for nearly complete darkness.
