Let me remind you only just over a month ago he put out a masterful performance against Lens in the champions league where he was involved with almost every goal. You cant argue hes average after 2 weeks of poor displays. Look at the records hes broken. The question is: can he still develop. Rooney, Owen and R9 all peaked early on their careers due to the fact they played far more games than most of their peers by 22,23 (which Saka follows suit in this regard). Which is why by 26-27 all of these players were effectively finished at the top level.

I have been seeing similar comments like this. Salah was playing well in the Swiss league and the Europa League. He was touted for Liverpool and Chelsea, eventually went to the latter. Chelsea career was a howler imo as he had to compete with monsters like Hazard, Schürrle and Willian. Salah thought about his career and he reinvented himself in the Serie A league and the rest is history. Saka is decent, Arteta is treating him like Michael Owen and I worry a serious injury will happen (God forbid) and he will be moved on. He will be a legend like Walcott lol

All the young stars lose their aura because at Arsenal they burn out due to a piss poor long term player development strategy. Just before last season, Saka had unusually strong upper body strength but now it has all but disappeared thanks to Arsenal's clueless hierarchy with a narrow minded rookie manager who really does not understand the term "process". Burn out does not mean a player can have a few weeks off to help the player recover, it means anything from 3 months or more to help the player regain their levels and after that effective time- management of that player.

The FA Cup game, Liverpool was fine with you having most of the ball, Klopp and his coaching staff played a psychological game on Arteta, in lulling them into overconfidence. And when they made the tactical adjustments, they knew that the players couldn't adjust and were shook. Keeping Jota on the bench was smart, in the sense that Klopp knew that the tired Arsenal legs would struggle against Jota, and sure enough they did. Jota was out jumping Saliba, what a baller!!!! The Emirates FA Cup youtube page has the full game... go back and watch it... and then put some respect on Liverpool.
