The report on the partisan activities was the most novel news item out of Ukraine in some time. I can remember during at least the first year or so of the war many news channels had small spots on their maps where supposed partisan activities were taking place, but little to nothing was said about it. I had no idea that such things were occurring. I am sure listeners would also like to hear more about the non-violent resistance.

NATO’s hypocritical policies are fueling escalation in Europe, increasing the risk of a direct military confrontation between Russia and the North Atlantic alliance, the Russian Foreign Ministry said. The ministry said that last year, NATO "continued its confrontational policy with regard to Russia" by "boosting its military forces near Russia’s borders." "This hypocritical and provocative policy is continuously fuelling escalation and tensions on the European continent, raising the risk of a direct military confrontation between Russia and the alliance," the ministry said. "Washington and its allies view Russia as their biggest direct security threat in all areas, in the long-term perspective," the Russian diplomats continued. Ukraine is at the heart of the Russia-NATO standoff, and Kiev’s troops are being supplied with long-range weapons that are in fact being operated by Western military specialists, the ministry added. "At the same time, NATO officials keep claiming that such actions allegedly are not enough to make the alliance a party to the conflict," it said.

Russia is taking all necessary security measures in connection with numerous NATO exercises in Europe, Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko has said. "In fact, the whole year will be a year of not a hundred NATO exercises, but of one giant exercise, with all elements of NATO preparations to be tested on the ground," Grushko said in an interview with the Rossiya-24 TV channel. "We are ready for this march of events. All necessary precautions are being taken by our military," Grushko assured. He recalled NATO's plans for holding more than 100 exercises in 2025, mentioned by the commander-in-chief of NATO forces in Europe, General Christopher Cavoli. Grushko noted that these drills would mainly take place on the eastern flank of the alliance. "It is clear that NATO in 2025 will be testing the new architecture of deployment that has been implemented in recent years in an effort to inflict a strategic defeat on the Russia," Grushko said. He specified that the issue on the agenda was completing the process of staffing eight tactical groups with weapons and personnel and bringing them to the level of a brigade - in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria. According to Grushko, NATO will also test the headquarters it has set up for operations on the eastern flank, patterns for delivering reinforcements, equipment, ammunition and engineering equipment to the line of engagement on the eastern flank - the so-called military Schengen - and the mechanisms developed recently in an effort to achieve military superiority over Russia. "They will also experiment with new methods of warfare that were tested in the Ukrainian theater of military operations, where the Ukrainians were used as guinea pigs," Grushko added.

Russia’s 6-headed Oreshnik missile, which was recently showcased in a strike on Dnipro, is now entering mass production. This announcement came from Russian President Vladimir Putin on November 28, during a meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organization [CSTO] in Astana. While specific details about the missile’s deployment capabilities remain sparse, its combination of multiple warheads and submunitions demonstrates Russia’s strategic approach to maximizing its offensive potential. This configuration could give the Oreshnik missile the ability to disrupt key military networks, potentially neutralizing not just individual targets but entire systems in a single strike. As tensions with the West continue to escalate, weapons like the Oreshnik are likely to be a significant part of Russia’s arsenal, ensuring its ability to project power while testing the limits of contemporary defense technology.

@@marisabenson1222 Putin confirmed that “serial production of the Oreshnik has begun,” signaling the missile’s official move into widespread manufacturing. He emphasized that Russia would respond to continued attacks from Western missiles with its own weapons, including the Oreshnik, and stated that the Russian Ministry of Defense and General Staff were selecting new targets in Ukraine, with potential hits on military sites and decision-making centers in Kiev. Putin remarked, “Ultimately, we will choose means for destruction depending on the nature of the selected targets and the threats created for the Russian Federation.”
