In this episode Rhys installs the new suspension setup in the 80. First time doing a video like this actually in front of the camera, harder then it looks :)

A bit confused, you said you have 3in springs but 13in shocks?? How does that work? I saw you got coil retainers but don't you run out of coil?? Sick vid btw
@Raven-cf5qd2 жыл бұрын
3 inch springs means 3 inch lifted springs and 13 inch shocks mean thats how much travel up in down they can go before full extention & full compression.

Did you need to bend the brake lines when installing your hyperflex arms?
@acdm51452 жыл бұрын
Not on the 80, but from memory when we installed them on the 105 we needed to bend them slightly and modify a bracket

Did you have to intstall upper or lower control arms for that and did you also install an adjustable pan hard in the front?

What length of shock would you recommend for the 4” front hyper-flex set up? I also have ordered the adjustable metal tech rear links?
@acdm51453 жыл бұрын
as long a shock as you can possibly fit without bottoming out the shock before hitting the bump stops, or extend bump stops to fix that

Cuantos cm o cuantos metros puede levantar del suelo esa llanta teniendo las otras 3 en contacto con el suelo?
@leongriffin7774 жыл бұрын
U sure those shocks don’t bottom out? Max closed lengths on 80s are bout 400mm those superior 13” are 450 closed and pretty sure those spacers are only 30mm so shock would bottom out
@acdm51454 жыл бұрын
With the extention the front was exactly 450 closed, so yes, they are bottoming out currently, I'll be switching out eventually to better shocks, these were for testing, I knew I was going to have to extend the bumpstop more / go hydro bump stops, but ill need to brace the coil seat first
@leongriffin7774 жыл бұрын

that flex is crazy dude! can you post the link of those shocks or post the part number...
@acdm51454 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Front shocks are 26580 and rear is 26582, if I were to buy then again I reckon I'd get the 13" remote resi front and 12.5" remote resi rear

Thanksss brother! could I know the part number of the springs as well? not loose when flexed?
@rowanwilliams24323 жыл бұрын
Hey dude how do you rate the shocks. I got 3inch coils in mine and want abit more outta it. Superior shocks worth it?
@acdm51453 жыл бұрын
Can't speak about the remote res shocks but apparently they're pretty good, but I don't rate the non remote resi ones, very uncomfortable on the road, can't handle the weight of the 80 and bounces all over the road
@rowanwilliams24323 жыл бұрын
Ahh sweet as. So get remote resies. Copy cheers bloke

Did u buy that as a kit or what mate I have 4 inch tuff dog lift with superior front radius arms and I want bigger shocks ?????
@acdm51454 жыл бұрын
Nah not a kit, just bought all the parts that I knew would be good for it, radius arms to correct caster, biggest shocks i could fit (based on minimum shock length on bumpstop), and just got all the other superior bits to go along with it, got the adjustable pan-hard bars second hand for cheap. Eventually will be changing to some superior extended rear lower arms to correct the rear steer you get with big flex and maybe adjustable uppers, not sure yet
