I had the Cinnamon in my cabinet. Just went into the trash. Thank you!!! Just used it the other day when I made homemade banana bread. Can't believe all the recalls! So unacceptable!

Starting some of our seeds this week and in a few weeks more. I'm going all out on food this year. Planting beans,cabbage,kale,carrots, potatoes,tomatoes,squash, spearmint,collards,3 kinds of peppers, 🌶️ non heat,onions, dill, cilantro,long onions,chives,blackberry's,apples,strawberries .

Planting is a great way to combat inflation. Even in rent grow in pots, on indoor aqua gardens etc... Always a way. We grew all winter indoors now looking forward to spring planting.

Well done! Being proactive is better than doing nothing. I have 40 sweet pepper plants going into the ground next week. It should give me at least 40 pound of sweet peppers for chopping and freezing.

Relocate the problematic cinnamon to the garage ( I put mine on the shelf with yard fertilizer). I buy discount store cinnamon for my houseplants...not for consumption! A sprinkle on the top of each plant once a month prevents gnats and fruit flies. How cool is that? And best of all, no eggs for these critters get hatched. 😊

Quality control and the FDA are at their lowest in history. It is getting to where we all should read the ingredient panels and lock into the recall sites. Be very choosey on your groceries, and PLANT THAT GARDEN THIS YEAR.

Just using my phone I found that Sargento is only recalled that was sent to service food companies. Not to regular stores. Did not have to look far to find out it is NOT in our grocery stores.

Signed up to get these FDA recalls about a or so year ago. Would get a few a week. Now it’s multiple recall alerts a day. Meats, seafood. fresh veggies, processed & pre packed products. Something’s going on with our food commodity pipeline. Domestic & foreign.

time to make good relationships with your local farmers and grow what you can. FYI you can buy unpasterized milk that has a label only for livestock on the bottle from them that is better and more nutritious than store stuff.

That is what i do, i don't watch the vacation ones and i don't watch the ones in stores i no longer go too but i don't bellyache about it. i will watch stores i go to and i watched this one because i wanted to see if he was covering the same recall i heard about today. enjoy your vacation, do what you want. i will tune back in when you are back in the stores.

Would you not say McCormick is a good brand. They use the same cheap spices as do the $1, ones. It is the foreign countries they are grown in.

Stopped at our usual Dollar Tree this afternoon. Walked up to the door and there was a large printout taped to the door about the cinnamon recall. I saw several of the same signs taped up throughout the store and at checkout. I didn't check to see if it was pulled in the store, but sure hope so!

I haven’t bought ground spices for awhile now, because I figured out if it drops on the floor wherever it’s being ground, I’m pretty sure they’re not letting that go to waste and it’s been collected and put in bottles along with the rest. I bought a cheap grinder, and started grinding my own. Think pepper here, it’s one of the top ones for contaminants , not just cinnamon. .

Have you ever noticed block cheese doesn't appear on recall lists? Something to think about and it's super simple to shred or slice your own. You can freeze it and do it in big batches.....Something to think about....oh and also drastically cheaper.....Your labor is stored in dollars because you have agreed to work for dollars. So, to maintain the store value of your labor perhaps we should convert those dollars fiat that we agree to work for into something that will hold the value of our original labor. Something that's been proven to do it for a couple thousand years of history and certainly, through our American History, right? Something to think about.....God Bless...

I like to pick my meat while it's still living. Same with Dairy, I like to see the cows and farm I am buying from.

We live 30 miles from our Tomato capital Ripley TN, they haul their tomatoes to Memphis. The one butcher shop is mostly frozen chicken parts, not fresh. Beef is fresh. It is limited in what they carry.

The turkey kielbasa is being recalled again, brand name Johnsonville for foreign material- rubber. After doing a bit of research I found that Johnsonville bought the company that had the initial kielbasa recall in January of this year. Looks like the sausage that was recalled on 1/5/24 is made by the same company Salm Partners, just sporting a Johnsonville label.
